Wilder Wilder Wladimir Wallin Whyte I would have put Chisora but that would’ve spoilt that perfect symmetry I’ve got going on there…
We should put this one to bed. I saw Thompson himself say on Youtube that Fury's camp called him to talk about a fight. They agreed to talk, and shortly thereafter, Fury signed to fight Johnson, who was a contender at the time. No harm, no foul. There was nothing on the table, and no one ducked anyone. As for Ustinov, Fury's Uncle died. I give him some slack for that. It is not like he waited a month like Hrgovic just did. If you want to hold that against him, that is up to you. But Ustinov doesn't have much credibility at this point anyway and would be at the same level as Johnson, Hammer, Pianeta. A Thompson fight may have been a small bump up in resume. The only fight that was a real shame was Haye, and that is entirely on Haye.
Yeah, I forgot that he lived on. I incorrectly remembered that he died shortly before the fight, but that principle is the same. He put family first...as well he should.
Sorry, I'm not deliberately replying to you a lot haha I think it's fair to recognize that it was a family emergency. On the other hand, it's also fair to say Fury was talking some crazy nonsense in the pre-fight press conference before his uncle fell in. He really didn't sound like he wanted the fight with Ustinov. Talking conspiracy theories about being set-up by the Klitschkos. The implication from Fury's ramblings was that he thought Ustinov was being drafted in last minute to (1) potentially derail his title push (2) give the Klitschko's a look at how he would deal with a fellow big man. As brilliant as Fury was on the night against Klitschko, there was somewhat of an element of surprise to how he approached the fight; it clearly caught Wlad off-guard, with Klitschko starting to have some success in the late rounds. I think Fury's team kind of knew the winner of the rematch wouldn't be a forgone conclusion. Then Fury went off the rails and never gave Wlad the rematch.
See the post below your post He had a relative who was very unwell and his trainer was not even going to be with him due to their family member being in a bad condition If you are not aware of this, really shouldn't be posting on it
