Floyd vs. GGG who wins?

He’s better than the version of Canelo who Floyd fought, and we all know that he was robbed in their first fight.

 

He would have been backed up with a limited offense.

 

Maidana fought a shot pbf and he's an awkward dirty slugger. Ggg doesn't fight anything like him and fights clean. Maidana is also faster than ggg.

Oscar without a doubt is faster than ggg even still when he had pbf against the ropes never landed and in the 5th round while pbf was against the ropes he countered Oscar clean almost dropping him and made his knees buckle forcing Oscar to grab pbf.

Cotto is faster than ggg and has beaten better fighters than ggg has.

You can't pressure someone who's not there to be hit. Someone who's going to be the ring general and dictate distance and control range on. Ggg is too slow and would be out maneuvered around the ring. He's never fought anyone with pbfs speed defense and skill before. Like I said earlier people are over rating his ability and underrating pbfs, who has he beat? He didn't look good against Jacobs chenko or canelo the 3 best fighters he's faced. Pbf beat guys like them far more impressively. He sure as hell beat canelo who he drew and lost 2.

He stood off of him and didn’t pressure him in the first half of the fight.

He should have fought southpaw all night and pressed him.

He boxed too cautiously and gave away the first 3 rounds fighting orthodox, which Gill Clancy couldn’t believe.

Ray didn’t just showboat during the last 30 seconds of each round.

He also landed great combinations in other stages of each round.

 

GGG being this monster in his prime at this point is a myth. He never showed this so called great skills against elite comp. He dominated C level fighters and people called him the second coming. I'm sorry I'm not buying it he never proved it. If ggg had beaten better comp I might say he would be too much for pbf but he didn't. For instance had this been pbf-hagler at 154 I would say despite Hagler not fighting there I'd pick him to beat pbf there based on his ability shown against elite comp alone.

However, we have to ask how confident and offensive minded a faded Floyd would have been in facing a much bigger, prime, pressure fighter.

The only issue is whether or not GG had been healthy or not.

It’s not about who the better P4P fighter is.

It’s always about how they’d have matched up on the night stylistically. Always.

It doesn’t matter if GG was slow.

It’s the style.

The power, the aggression, the strength.

Floyd had nothing to keep GG at bay.

Floyd could have avoided getting hit and gotten on his bike, but again, it would have limited his own offense.

You have to have an offense in order to win the majority of the rounds.

He’d have had no offense backing up, and covering up in the corners and on the ropes etc.

The Maidana fight would have played out exactly the same, had he have fought him before he fought Canelo.

If you’d have gotten a big guy who’d have had no respect for Floyd’s offensive arsenal, who’d immediately have backed him up with pressure, then Floyd would have had his hands full.

That’s why guys like Mayorga and Marg would have been problematic to him. Because they wouldn’t have been pot shotted in the centre of the ring. They wouldn’t have stood off of him and respected him like Canelo did. They wouldn’t have given him the time and the space. They’d have poured forward aggressively and put it on him.

He was, because a prime GG was better than the specific versions of those guys who Floyd faced.

However, it’s not even relevant. Because he didn’t have to be as good as them technically anyway.

It’s not just the technical skills, it’s the size, strength, power and aggression.

Canelo could have beaten GG 5 times.

GG would always have caused Floyd more problems.

Canelo was a passive counterpuncher.

Whereas GG was a pressure fighter with huge power.

One guy stood off of Floyd all night, whereas GG would relentlessly have poured forward at every opportunity. And there’s nothing Floyd could have done to have stopped that from happening. Even if Floyd had evaded most of the shots and GG’s success rate had been low, he’d have just continued to have stalked him for the full duration of the fight. He’d have pressured Floyd and backed him up all night long.

 

Pimp, Marcos Maidana was a crude fighter who’d lost to Amir Khan.

He was slow with a shorter reach.

Wrong margo wouldn't have been problematic. He's slow wide open and doesn't even have a jab. Atleast ggg is skilled margo is a bum and the fight looks like pbf-baldo.

Btw pbfs ability to fight off his back foot stay on his bike and beat ggg to the punch is all he needs. Ggg isn't going to hit pbf more than pbf hits him. You're crazy if you think that will happen. Lastly ggg and Maidana fight nothing alike ggg is more if a boxer puncher who can pressure whereas maidana is an awkward dirty slugger two completely different styles not to mention pbf was cut early in their 1st fight which bothered him which is why after they got the cut under control pbf took over. So no I don't agree with ggg bothering pbf with pressure. What happened in the rematch with Maidana when pbf didn't get the early cut??? How much pressure did he bring then?
