Prime Artur Beterbiev vs 35 year old Larry Holmes

(200+ lbs at HW) Beterbiev:

- Has dropped and stopped all of his 18 modern-size LHW opponents, scoring 45 KD’s

- Was the first man to stop 10 of his 18 opponents (Page Jr, A. Johnson, Maderna, Prieto, Koelling, C. Johnson, Kalajdzic, champ Gvozdyk, Deines, Browne) only two of which have been stopped since (Page Jr, Maderna) has 7 KO's inside the first 2 rounds (including over former champ Cloud, Page Jr, Prieto, champ Smith Jr) and has retired 3 opponents from boxing (Cruz, Cloud, prime Gvozdyk)

- Three amateur wars (one over 4 rounds, two over 3, won the 4 rounder) against future undisputed cruiserweight champion and current 19-0 unified heavyweight champion Usyk, one of only three fighters known to have dropped Usyk in 375 fights

- Beat future heavyweight contender Hunter, who had an amateur record of 132-11

- Stopped future 2x cruiserweight champion Dorticos in 1 round

- Never stopped in 300 amateur bouts and 18 pro fights, officially dropped twice in the pros but only noticeably hurt in one fight, stopped C. Johnson 2 rounds later

35 year old Holmes:

- Lost to ex-LHW Spinks (who'd failed to stop 8 of his 27 same day weigh-in LHW opponents, 5 of which had been stopped multiple times previously)

- Had been knocked out twice (KO3, TKO1) by Nick Wells in the amateurs and had been dropped previously in the pros by 2-0 future journeyman Isaac (188 lbs) Shavers (211 lbs) and Snipes (216 lbs)

- In 28 months Holmes would be dropped three times and stopped inside 4 rounds by a shorter, stubbier and far less experienced pressure fighter than Beterbiev

 

The figures you've seen and claims made are inaccurate. A WBC program found that Beterbiev weighed 194.3 lbs in between fights, so he'd probably weigh a little more again at HW.

If Beterbiev can catch a young Usyk, who was a master southpaw with faster feet than LHW Roy Jones, he can definitely catch a 35 year old Holmes and do serious damage.

Lewis got blasted out by HW's, he didn't lose to a LHW and there's no particular reason to believe he would (although I'd give a 190+ lbs Stevenson a chance). Holmes lost to a LHW champ, twice officially, at the age of 35/36 so this thread is not moronic trash like that thread.
