Why do some people consider Anderson Silva the best fighter although he uses steroids and is not a complete fighter?
I think those people have some sympathy due to Silva only popping for roids after his terrible broken leg injury so they assume he used to help the recovery process and maybe wasn't using earlier in his career. This is different to Jon Jones whose whole career is based on ped's and since usada came into the ufc he has looked average and/or popped for ped's in all his fights.
Steroids don't make you a better fighter. They may enhance some ability but if that was the case then all of body building would be in combat sports crushing it. I think the governing bodies should do away with testing, it makes the sport more fun. Remember when Bonds and McGwire were crushing home runs in baseball and how exciting baseball was back then? Now nobody hardly watches the sport beside hardcore fans. Bring back the roids!! This content is protected
LOL! If they enhance your ability… that makes you a better fighter!! On certain PED’s your power and quickness increases. Those two things are kinda important in combat sports. By the way… McGwire >>> Bonds in the pure distance and power department. Even Barry would admit to that. lol
Because of him being theatrical on the ring. Silva was for sure an avid fighter, but once "the golden chicken" broke (literally and figuratively) UFC decided to let him down (of their support) and the truth came out: he was a steroid guy. Just as Jon Jones is (the same "golden chicken), but he's another topic. Silva held the title for seven years, but when got caught cheating, he went on a seven years loose streak, aside from one UFC gift from against Brunson.
Who says this??? He is one of the best fighters of all time but yet many people can’t admit this. He wins so many titles and gave so much to UFC.
