Marciano was the greatest CW of all time. We don't know how Beterbiev would do against his current contemporaries. Marciano has wins over far better boxer/punchers that Beterbiev, and that's all due respect to Beterbiev

On paper it's an even match, but as of now Beterbiev hasn't got the body of work to suggest he'd beat Rocky at around 185 to 190 pounds. It's possible though but not the way to bet

At CW, Marciano might come in a little heavier than usual...195 maybe.
We know Marciano can take a HW punch, but can Beterviev?
None of Beterviev's opponents match the experience and fighting skills of Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott,
    and Archie Moore.
    Both are incredibly strong.
    Both are monster punchers.

I give Rocky the edge here, but it would be a tremendous fight for as long as it lasted.

Beterbiev is a raw force but Marciano is an even bigger raw force...

    Marchegiano.

Underrated skills, power to at least match (and more likely surpass) Beterbiev's and superior (certainly more proven) toughness.

If you watch Marciano, it was throw a left hook, throw a looping right, throw a left hook, throw a looping right and so on and so forth. There was no ingenuity or creativity about his work. It was sheer relentlessness combined with toughness. Mind you, he fought in an era of heavyweight boxing largely dominated by aging light heavyweights who had moved up or aging heavyweights from the previous era. This will undoubtedly cause us to overestimate his power and durability, as he never fought anyone heavyweight-sized in their prime.

Beterbiev is fighting similar sized if not even bigger men who mostly have similar if not superior skills to anyone Marciano fought. Marciano mostly won fights on his intense pace he kept up against slicksters who enjoyed fighting the back foot, eventually tiring them out and clubbing them into submission. Beterbiev has more than enough power to deter him and puts on a frightening pace himself when he wants to, as shown against Browne.

Combine that with his brilliant punching off the back foot and Marciano doesn't have many methods of victory beyond a lucky punch. Artur will either walk Marciano back by keeping him honest with sharp well-placed flurries, nullifying his forward momentum (Marciano was not capable of punching on the back foot) or he would simply move around and walk Marciano into massive countering bombs as Beterbiev gets a read on the terrible telegraphing Rocky was prone to.

Nostalgia really makes people wear the old rose tinted glasses sometimes. Marciano is a fighter whose style will have aged terribly too, he was capable of being hurt quite badly and someone with the power of Beterbiev will show that to be the case.

I think all the posters who talk about either man destroying the other and / or predicting KOs for either man are out to lunch.

I think this goes the distance with Marciano taking the decision based on being more aggressive and taking the fight to Beterbiev.

    That's just plain false.

If he was that predictable he'd never have beaten Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore or even shot Joe Louis

No way has Artur beaten more skilled looking fighters on film than walcott Charles and Moore. Not even close

and Artur could never match the intensity on film Marciano showed in round 6 Vs Moore

Lastly, Marciano did not telegraph at all. You got his style all wrong. Rewatch the film, he was fantastic in his crouch and used his short reach to his ultimate advantage making himself a smaller target. He was very athletic in his crouch and could Bob weave move his torso at all different angles and attack with unorthodox punches from all angles..and each punch had murderous power and he could throw 120 per round if need be

according to Charlie Goldman he had a steel chin and we’ve never ever seen him badly hurt on film despite fighting 3 men in rings top 100 punchers of all time. He took walcott and Moores Sunday punches without any big problems

Artur has never fought an animal like Marciano. He’s a light heavyweight who hasn’t even fought the best in his division today let alone an archie Moore whose top 3 all time at 175!!!

Marciano is a 1% in pure toughness, stamina, and punching power and Artur would be absolutely overwhelmed. Counterpunch Marciano all you want, he’s seen far better tricks from hall of fame boxers than Artur has. Marciano he’ll crouch Bob and weave take a few then bang away until he gets inside and non stop throws 120 punches at various parts of your body. 175lb Artur won’t be able to hang on.

Marciano knocked out a top 2 light heavyweight champion of all time (archie Moore) and threw 120 punches in round 6. Yet people think this Turkey beterbiev can beat Marciano LOL cause he looked good against some goof troopers Browne and Smith whom archie Moore would have ate for lunch

Marciano would destroy Beterbiev with ease, and he would destroy the heavyweights today also, unfortunately most people don’t know that Marciano used to cut a lot of weight and lost both fat and muscle. If he wanted to he could easily have gone up to 210, and that would have been enough to screw over fury, joshua, usyk and wilder. Marciano is way under appreciated, Ali said he would have had problems with him and that means a lot.
