He didn't cut weight, he simply got in optimal fighting shape. He also dropped all of five pounds in a camp, from 192lbs to 187lbs, that's not a significant cut.

That'll be Spence KO10 Leonard, then. I'd been agonizing over that fantasy matchup for some time and you just cracked it for me with infallible and completely independent reasoning, thanks.

thats just one excerpt from before one fight. Why are you in such denial about a fighter cutting weight a long time ago? If marciano didnt run miles and miles a day he would have easily been over 210 pounds.

I don't know about rose tinted glasses, but you definitely need SOME kinda glasses, if you think the guys Beterbiev beat have superior skills to Marciano's opponents.

It's pretty well disseminated that Rocky walked around well over 200 and trained for fights as if he couldn't weigh in wherever he wanted, because he believed it benefited his conditioning to train down in weight.

Well, we could be getting too caught up in semantics and figures of speech. Rocky wasn't typically concerned with a precise target, but he did consciously train down with great intensity, losing somewhere between 20–30 pounds in the run-up to a fight.

In the Ezzard Charles fight he threw about 96 punches in the 15th round...easily available on YouTube. Most could not even go to the 15th if they brought it back.

Why didn't he throw 100 punches before round 15?

But that isn't the same as dehydrating. When Marciano weighs in at 190 lbs then he weights 190 lbs. When Beterbiev weighs in at 175 he isn't actually 175 lbs.

That wasn't my contention. I'm not sure it was anyone's contention (though the guy you were replying to can clarify in his own time, if he wishes). It appeared there was a dispute as to what Rocky walked around at, and that's what I was addressing.

Beterbiev was fine tuned from his early teenage year. By russian style coached, with drills. Marciano started boxing late, in his twenties. Beterbiev skills are few levels above Marciano's. He boxes in an era where boxing is an international sport. He comes from an Olympic team. Marciano would stand no chance. Guys, please, be serious.
