Hard to believe hes 37. We've seen guys like Hopkins and Martinez look impressive at that age, but even they were essentially 80% (at best) of what they once were by the time they were 39. So the age of 37 seems to be the absolute upper limit for a fighter to look downright dominant.

How good is Beterbiev? Obviously an elite LHW. But is he just a dominant champ or is he an ATG talent? I dont know. I think hes ATG and I've said that for years. But he was shelved and overlooked until he was 34. And then Covid happened and then Bob Arum happened.

Thing is hes been this guy for the past decade, but most people were wearing hater shades the whole time. Hes the same guy, except its nearly a certainty that has actually better 7 or 8 years ago than he is now. That's how science works. Hes just managed to slowdown father time much better than most. Cloud isnt a world beater, but hes a respectable LHW and a 30 year old Beterbiev blew him out easier than he did to Smith. And Cloud didn't come straight at him either.

Its really shame, to see how so many fans failed to see what was in front of them and demand Beterbiev get the fights against Kovalev, Ward and Bivol while he was younger. At least we got Gvozdyk though.

Definitely the strongest fighter I have witnessed. Naturally the hardest puncher I have ever watched in boxing.

If you've seen any of his strength / conditioning vids, then you will know his core is super strong, as are his wrists (that push up vid is nuts!).

I think he's also lived very well - simple, no excess, balanced diet, no booze/smokes/parties - that can only help.

Often when things seem too good to be true, they are chemically enhanced.
One thing going for him is he's been in the same division the whole time, so he hasn't yet gone up and started bullying bigger men, which is the real red flag when it comes to roids, I think.
To me his power doesn't seem unbelievable, yet. He still didn't KO Joe after hitting him with a lot of huge clean shots. And the Nail guy took a lot too. That helps Beter's case, really.

He keeps this up for another few years and he starts entering territory that I've never seen before. Maybe you super old school fans can recall past fighters. But to be steamrolling the top guys at 39 or 40 is unheard of.

Foreman did it on strength, power and intelligent application alone when he made his comeback age 38.

Fighters that rely on speed, movement and reflexes are the ones who burn and fade out in a very noticable manner.

I don't believe that power will ever fade.

Wouldn't surprise me if he continues to maintain this condition well into his 40s, the man's work ethic and dedication is admirable. It really does help that he's very disciplined, doesn't associate himself with the wrong people, doesn't party hard, blow up in weight, or let the fame get to him. He's a family man and super religious.

Foreman received a beatdown from Holyfield. Young Foreman permanently ruins Holyfield in 2 rounds.

Foreman was 42 and fat, Beterbiev is 37. I would love to see Beterbiev at 42 fight an ATG.

Hell maybe he could you never know
