Truth. Qawi's a slicker version of Frazier.

Orlando Canizales did a simultaneous duck under and side step to the left that took him out of his opponent’s line of attack and freed him up to throw the left hook. He did it repeatedly against Kelvin Seabrooks in his title-winning effort. I remember Gil Clancy waxing lyrical about it, saying it was an old school move that he hadn’t seen for a long time.

Lost my speed as I've gotten older......I can throw 7 hooks in a row, but you could go have a bite, come back and I'd still be throwing them.

Imagine consciously thinking Jack Dempsey didn't hit hard.

I like how Duran was relaxed on the inside and would slip punches mere inches from him and always counter.

Rjj maneuver when he turns his right hand to attract the attention of the opponent, and strikes with his left hand is one of my best maneuvers.

Foreman’s Nonchalant Approach by Gerry Cooney (at the start of the round) and then the final uppercut, where the referee immediately stops the fight, is one of the nicer maneuvers for me.

Duran’s left hook-right hand-left hook-right hand to drop Barkley was beautiful and a favorite of mine.

Floyd’s pull counter against just about everyone was sweet.

Watching Marciano come across with his right hand fluidly and without hesitation to drop Charles immediately after Charles slipped his left never gets old.

James Toney-Mike McCallum fights are filled with their smooth maneuvers against each other. Hard to pick specifics in those fights

    La Motta - playing possum.
JJ Walcott - the walk away shift, then throw sneak right.
Archie Moore - maneuvering opponent, so as to be in Moore,s corner when the round edded.

I wish more of his stuff was easily available on YouTube. He was one smooth operator.

Imagine defending a title that many ties all on foreign soil and usually in the opponent’s backyard — oh, and you’re not a big puncher so you have to be able to outpoint people when the deck is stacked in your favor.

I could watch him all day.

He’s good study, he wins because he his the better boxer. He isn’t special in one way. I watched his fight with, I forget who today. But they only had 6 rounds because they didn’t feel like broadcasting the fight…

    The Rusty Trombone.

I don't think they allow me to link a video for this one.

Gerry Cooney, Mickey Ward and some other Victor Valle-trained fighters threw what VV called a ‘reverse hook.’

It’s a tap hook to the head to set up a hard hook to the liver.

It’s the combo that crippled Gatti in Round 9 and the one that caved in Ken Norton.

There’s a cadence to it that takes a lot of practice to perfect and I don’t know anyone else who ever taught it, but it was a devastating combo when done right.
