Clottey was basically the Ugas of his era imo. Who would've won in this matchup? Clottey is more defensively responsible with better counters and footwork. At the same time, Ugas has a better jab, is better at judging distance, and seems more battle-tested against different styles.

Clottey was a mystery to me. Talented fighter but just a strange career.

I thought Clottey took a dive vs Pac. Inexcusable performance.

That was prime Pac. No dive, I just think Pac was too much for him.

I thought Clottey beat Margarito. He was a very underrated fighter.

Ugas wouldn’t have too much trouble with a basic high guard guy. Clottey was a game loser who had the right promoter at the right time.

They both need the right opponent to engage or they’ll stay in their shell. This fight would be like the equivalent of Rigo vs Prime Lara a straight snoozefest..

Sheet, for a second, I thought this fight was actually happening due to Ugas probably wanting a confidence booster after the Spence fight and I was scared for Clottey since he's too old. Thank goodness this isn't real!

Clottey hits harder & is very strong,

Both guy's will be on their back foot with neither man wanting to engage while flicking jabs all night & then clinching while circling the ring,

Oh what a fight i'm imagining it right now.

Man, Clottey would be a good nut to crack for Spence.
