Ward , like Clenelo & GGG , never really beat Kovalev Kov won the first fight clearly & Ward should have been DQ'd in the rematch. Both Ward & referee Tony Weekes should have been called to task. Ward fought his normal fight, the dirtiest player in the game we expected that. Weekes ironically warned Ward in the first round saying " Keep em up Andre ". But from then on looked the other way as Ward seemed to be intent on neutering Kov . A disgusting display

I get that he wanted a payday and I think he deserved one for the fun fights he gave us, but in no way shape or form should he have been approved for that Cotto fight. His knee was so wrecked he couldn't even spar leading up to the fight. The clip we did get was basically staged. That was an awful fight to watch and in fact so was the cheesy buildup to the fight. Sergio doing everything he could to make it seem like a real hatred was there and Cotto was like "IDK WTF he is talking about I don't even know the guy"
