Luis Ortiz thinks it should be him vs Ruiz for title

I personally don't think Fury should have to Vacate. He recently fought a mandatory and won.

There is no one else in the WBC that deserves a mandatory shot. Wilder and Whyte were both pimp slapped by Fury. Fury has done enough to delay things until the Usyk/Joshua fight is sorted.

I'd say what the feck either have done to earn it.

But I think it's fair that the winner of this fight becomes rank 1 contender.

Well considering it appears Fury has told WBC he hasn't retired but told everyone else he has.

I have no issue with Ruiz being number 1 contender and mandatory when he beats Ortiz.

Fury has retired and intends never to fight again (his words) So why is he holding the entire division hostage by keeping the WBC belt? And besides, he only cares about the lineal title anyway (his words). The man’s full of ****

Fury just did defeat mandatory challenge in April so he can probable until next April stay with wbc belt title

Who cares? WBC belt is a joke. If Graciano Rocchigiani hadn't taken mercy upon them they would no longer exist. I'm sick he didn't put his foot through their ****ing face.

Because Fury hasn't officially retired. Saying you're retired and then officially retiring and vacating your belts and not the same thing.

Fury will have the belt until he vacates it willingly, or he gets another mandatory challenger who he refuses to face and loses it that way.

Boxers can say they're going to retire and change their mind.

I don't think it's a joke personally. Fury vs Wilder, Fury vs Whyte, these are good fights.

WBA is the real joke. WBC is alright.

Fury should vacate, but not for Ruiz vs Ortiz. More for Joyce vs Sanchez as they are higher in the WBC rankings

It's probably the most prestigious belt out there along with the Ring Magazine. The organisation is a joke though.

WBC is a leech. At best. They can be paid to: strip a fighter of his championship. Allegedly move a fighter up in the rankings. Move a fighter down in the rankings. They will provide rankings for fighters who have never fought in a given division for money. They will exclude a fighter who refuses to pay them from a "title" fighter for years. They have named up to 22 champions in 17 divisions, for money. They stripped Leon Spinks and Bobby Chacon because convinced killer Don King told them too. They also withheld championship rights to fights until Don King was awarded promotional rights for that fight. The WBC continued to recognise Mike Tyson as champion after he was defeated by Buster Douglas, for money. They actively prevented WBC champions from fighting unification bouts.

This is off the top of my head. There is absolutely no way for me to provide a detailed account of how badly WBC treats fighters, of how corrupt and negative and evil this corporation is without overrunning the character limit on a forum post. Any legitimate fight fan who doesn't despise the WBC just doesn't understand them.

They're still not as bad as the WBA though.

So Ortiz, who got SMASHED INTO OBLIVION TWICE by Wilder, thinks he is a more fitting champion than Fury ... by beating Ruiz?
And Ruiz, who almost got KO'd by retired Arreola, thinks he would be a more fitting champion than Fury for beating the guy who got KO'd twice by Wilder?

Fury could literally beat both on one night. People often say that type of thing, but this is a case where it could actually happen.

Fury just fought Whyte. He should be allowed to wait on the AJ/Usyk result. If he screws around at that point and won't make the fight, then strip him.

Andy Ruiz beat Arreola, he didn't almost get KO'd he got up.

Ruiz at his best is a good fighter, he is taking this more seriously now.

Besides Usyk he's the only fighter to beat Joshua, something that Wlad, Povetkin, Parker, Whyte all failed to do.

Ruiz is still in the top 7-8 IMO.
