She didn't come from nothing. Anyone from a first world country in the modern day definitely has a lot of support systems in place. She's also the one who demeans others yet expects not to be demeaned in return, that's not how life works.
A lot of you dudes on here are real life doofuses that aren't in touch with reality. She's from Flint, MI dude. Which is a poverty stricken and neglected city. Definitely doesn't feel like its in a so called 1st world country. She made it out of there and she's shining. The hate only makes her better. It's nothing new.
Lawrence Okolie pretty much comes from the UK equivalent Shall i automatically be a fan because of this? She's an ass regardless of where's shes ftom
I agree! no matter what you’ve been through or where you come from it doesn’t give you a pass to be a complete bell end
The arrogance isn't natural. People become mean when they don't get their proper respect, criticized unfairly and every flaw nitpicked. Same thing with a fighter like Floyd. He was humble at the beginning of his career but then he realized the the masses will never like him, so he threw Mr. Nice Guy out the window and said eff them and gave ya'll a reason to really hate. By continue to whoop a@@ while talking his sh**
Spare me, Flint isn't at all like a third world hellhole. There is almost no real poverty in America, so shove your pathetic sob story up your hole. The hate makes her unlikable, nothing else. You're such a fanboy lil *****, she's not gonna bang you dude.
Did slowpoke really say that there is almost no real poverty in America? Ever heard of Appalachia or any reservation USA? You need to get out of your cookie cutter lower middleclass enclave more. Anyways bootyface, I'm defending her more from the hate than her background because you mf's are haters.
I have to scratch my head to think of a male boxer who comes across quite as absurdly egotistical and delusional as Claressa. She's like an insufferable grandiose child that interviewers feel obliged to suck up to, bowing to the 'gwoat'. It's a bit like how interviewers always played along with Dame Edna- it just wasn't done to say- 'but you're really just a big bloke in a dress'. She is very talented and she has achieved a lot but the paucity of talent in women's boxing, especially at her weight, means that it's not really as impressive as it seems. Savannah Marshall appears on the scene as an agent of cosmic justice (such an ego cries out to be humbled) , a reality-test at long last. Of course, the GWOAT doesn't lose, cannot lose. She didn't lose to Marshall in the amateurs and (at least in her head) she won't have lost in September (assuming Marshall does beat her).
Shields will give Marshall that work and when she does people who picked Marshall will be full of excuses and not give her an ounce of credit for doing so.
I'm a big fan of Savannah expect her to win but if Claressa wins it will most likely be by way of superb offensive and defensive reflexes, discipline (her ones and one-twos are great, but she needs to refrain from wading in with those flurries like a toddler having a tantrum) and guts- in which case I will applaud her.
Even for households with two people in full time work, the chances of being pulled into poverty has more than doubled over the same period, from 1.4 percent to 3.9 percent. Working poverty rates are particularly high in London, Wales and the North of England, according to the IPPR. Spiraling housing costs, low wages, a failing benefits system and a lack of affordable childcare sit behind the growth in poverty, the No Longer ‘Managing’ report found.
