Hagler v Leonard for me. Still irks me that the Marvellous one went out that way. Not a robbery, arguments for scoring it for both, just a personal choice.

 

Holmes vs Spinks both fights. But if I had to choose just one, then the first one, so that he could get his 49-0-0 and stop being so angry!

Yes, I did like Norton. The above results are at least arguable and what a difference it would’ve made to Norton’s resume.

Fenech vs Nelson 1. The Marrickville Mauler literally put his heart and soul into that one - never to recapture the same intensity again after the outrageous draw verdict.

 

He slapped Zuhma around so hard and carelessly they tried to hide his mouthpiece.

 

I agree…I had Holmes winning the 2nd fight. The first, I’m not sure but sometimes your luck runs out at the worst times.
I would love him to have got his 49 not out but some people say he shouldn’t even have been 48-0-0 anyway because he was lucky to have got the decision against Carl Williams just before the 1st Spinks fight. I think our Larry got away with that one if I’m honest.

Joe comes out for the 15th and miraculously pulls a knockout to get back for all the cruel things Ali said and did to him.

 

I think the Long Count ultimately worked for Dempsey and added to the folk lore around him.Similar but a lot more important than Cooper losing a disputed dec to Bugner,it eventually enhanced his rep.

 

I mean if I could undo Tommy hearns brutalizing of Duran I would.

But in terms of decisions I would like holyfield Lewis to be decided correctly (Lewis won the first fight, 2nd was a draw imo) not that it matters but I feel like holyfield doesn't get the credit for the adjustments he made in the 2nd fight bc it was just seen as correcting the awful first decision. Granted there probably is no rematch if Lewis gets the decision he deserved in the first fight.

It wasn't some robbery but I think of Iran Barkley had gotten the nod against Duran that he may have edged into the hall of Fame. And since he's one of my favs I woulda liked to see him do so.

 

Alex Arguello vs Jim Watt.
I would like to have changed the result so that Watt could bow out of boxing at the top with a shock victory over Arguello. But in all fairness, Arguello had far too much for Jim and the judges called it right

 

Liston v Ali II. I'd like to see that match without a fix.
