Roman Pongsaklek Lora Moon Bradley as this year's "fame" pick. Arbachekov should have remained on the ballot this year, imo.
Nigel Benn was/is very unpopular with Americans after hitting Barkley on the floor and the McClellan stuff. He’s the most exciting fighter I’ve ever seen though.
I'd choose: Chris Eubank Nigel Benn Carl Froch Michael Moorer Diego Corrales Nearly always seemed to provide great entertainment of some sort. I looked forward to all their fights. If I had to swap one out, it would be Moorer for Genaro Hernandez, who I met years ago and who not only was a great fighter but was such a nice guy. (RIP)
Truly feels like almost everyone qualifies for the Hall of Fame these days, like seriously no disrespect to either fighter or Trainer's but it's just the truth, like just do the bare minimum & we shall put you in eventually, The fact that they don't even televise the HOF & make it more of a larger Event sucks aswell, along with the boxers having very small & forgettable speeches, the whole production of it year by year is weak, fighters deserve a better platform, even the place they rent usually looks low class & somewhat cheap with odd lighting, It should be more of a Big Deal & made out to be Special rather than what it is per year, though i don't see it changing whatsoever.
Michalcewski Benn / Eubank Coralles Meldrick Taylor would be my picks from that ballot - Froch & Kessler both a have a decent shout, but something would sit off with me if they got in ahead of Benn & Eubank
Froch, Genaro (how is he not in yet), Vargas, Calderon and Hatton. Although I could see Bradley replacing one of them
I've seen a number of 130-pounders on this list, like Hernandez, Frietas, and Corrales. Can someone explain how any of them were greater than Rocky Lockridge? Virtually none of these guys are bona fide greats and the names that will get in will have some level of popularity because that's in part what the IBHOF has become. It needs more international representation and I would like to see more sub-featherweights get in.
I agree with you on Eubank but feel Benn deserves it.Going to America and defeating Barclay and Doug de Witt plus beating Gerald McClellan is not to be sniffed at
