It would favour him but I think Liam would try use his boxing IQ in this one, like he did when he beat Williams in their second fight of the jab.
You'd have to think he would but Beefy does like a scrap... he has that bit of fire in him and I could see him getting dragged into a tear up with Eubank. Although that said (and given that you brought Williams up)........... Eubank likes to jab and move himself these days lol !
Beefy is always good to watch. Would be a great tear up against Eubank. I'd much sooner see that fight than a champion facing a crap opponent
Agree 100%. Liam has been one of my favourite fighters for years. Even when he was poorly thought of as a person and a boxer on here. I’d back him against most and always say if he had more power he’d be a nightmare for anyone because he knows how to find clean, hard shots with regularity. Sadly though, him moving up against someone who’s been 2 divisions higher would be a bad move I think. If they were the same size it’s a mismatch for me as Smith is a better boxer and great on the inside. As it is though, I think Eubank would land and stop Smith because at some point Smith would go into tear up mode against the bigger man. On the other hand I’ve wanted Eubank to lose forever, so if Smith was the man to do it it would make it all the sweeter.
Liam has always been pissed off at the way Hearn has handled him. No surprise this. Callum moving up to Light heavy has saved Eubank more embarrassment of lost pens or being splattered.
Yep can't disagree with any of that. I guess whether it happens or not depends on Smith. He's said he wants another crack at a world title so if that's the case, moving up in weight to take the Eubank fight makes zero sense. Yet the flip side is, an all British fight with Eubank will generate a big pay day at the back end of his career.
I don't believe this "it's a bigger platform" thing. Money is all fighters care about. Simply, Boxxer offered more money to Beefy than Matchroom. Good for them, I guess...
It's one of those fights you could see being stopped on cuts. If it goes ahead I'll try and get a bet on it.
For Smith, there's more chance of people knowing about, and buying a ticket, for a fight advertised continually on Sky. He could be on DAZN and nobody outside of social media would know anything about it. He's hardly going to get rich off TV rights money whichever platform it's on.
The DAZN UK subscribers have taken a good poking from Earn and anyone with half a brain should press the unsubscribe button and kill the crap app quickly. The sports market is saturated with subs with DAZN UK currently the worst value in the world.
