Would Michael Grant be ranked in the top 10 if he was fighting now in his prime?

Standard spiel from the crowd that wants nothing more than to hype up Ortiz in order to hype up Wilder.

I have to hand it to you, the balls to bring up the Martin fight where both looked like trash and Ortiz was taking a beating before finding the KO... Almost speechless that you'd trot out the "YDKSAB" bullcrap in the exact same post that you're talking about shot fighters as if it tells you a damn thing about their peaks? Wow.
(To say nothing of "smoked" Martin, when Martin was having the more success of the two before Ortiz found the KO)

Top 5 material? Only in the same sense that Ortiz was... Ie: when required to suit a narrative or create interest (read: money) for an upcoming fight.

Ike didn't REFUSE. Ike got arrested. And Wooden nearly derailed Grant's career in 1997. In 1999, late-sub Golota totally dominated Grant, floored him multiple times, and was so far ahead he couldn't lose on the cards when he got dropped and then had a panic attack and quit.

Lewis didn't destroy him. Grant did about as well against Lewis and Golota did and Jeff Wooden "would've done."

    Grant wasn't anything, in truth.

You’re just one of those UK clowns who rides Joshua’s jockstrap and doesn’t like how Wilder beat Ortiz but Joshua avoided him. Totally see through.

Why do people always ask me if I watched a fight when I type something they disagree with? Yes, I watched the fight.

Did you see the punch that floored Grant SECONDS into the fight and caused him to break his ankle?

Yeah, that Grant was a real best. :duh

Did you see the Wooden fight? Did you see Golota beat up Grant for a half hour? Did you see the "world beater' Dominick Guinn destroy Grant?

    Michael Grant was a has-been at 31.

Grant was a late starter. He beat Wooden, who was a spoiler and almost beat Tua, before he logged all of his best wins. Maybe Grant actually improved after that fight.

Golota was in totally normal condition and quit because Grant was getting to him. Basically, nobody ever built much of a lead against Golota so it’s no surprise that he took rounds off Grant.

As for Ike, my point went totally over your head. Grant’s team and HBO weren’t matching him easy. That’s the point.

Guys like Seth Mitchell and Jefferson got exposed on the HBO hype train and guys like “ The Boxing Banker” and Arreola weren’t even matched as hard as Grant was.

Look how active Ortiz`s guard was v Wilder kept him guessing, Grant was so stationary.
