Definitely a nice signing for BOXXER. Sky Sports is the perfect platform for Liam Smith.

I remember after the Eubank vs Williams fight in February I wrote in this forum that I wanted to see Eubank Jr vs Liam Smith. My prayers have been heard :)

Let's see where they are in 3 years with this plan B whatever that is. Personally think the sky, discovery and added amazon competition leaves them with a fight they can't win.

They are operating in the US but said themselves they are going with a new strategy as competing against the big guns in the states will be huge cost.

DAZN see growth in Europe and Asia. The fight is over in the UK and US when it comes to non boxing content.

Why? Amazon are not just going to come in and win everything. They like any other business have there own value of any particular sport.

They lost out to canal + in France for CL rights as as I said in another post just because a company has the money it doesn't mean they just outspend everyone else whatever the cost.

Plan B is to just to be a boxing service in some regions while others be more than that.

If you see what Joe Markowski said in April in regard to the US:

Where did I say amazon will get everything. I simply added them next to sky and discovery as competition against DAZN. Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Nowhere in my post do I suggest amazon are gonna come in and take over.

Also Joe Markowski has just confirmed what I said then. In the states they are not taking the fight to the big guns for content outside of boxing.

I'd favour Smith to beat Eubank Jnr, Jnr doesn't even know what he is anymore, he is trying to be like a Prime RJJ but he just looks like a cringe act.

No you said they can't win non boxing content due to discovery, sky and amazon being in the market. Why?

In Spain, Germany or Italy do they not have competition? Of course not.

Other players could come in as well. Benin sport for example but I wouldn't say no chance as sky, discovery and amazon exist.

What they have said is the plan for the US can be the for the UK can it not?

What you said was within 3 years they will no longer be operating in the UK.

Now of course if boxing isn't viable for subscriptions they could exit the market but why throw all that money at AJ? For whatever reason, one I don't really understand boxing seems to be ok for them currently.

You cannot polish a turd man.

For the DAZN UK offering over the last year for UK based cards at £7.99, the value for money is the worst in the world.

Started off well but Earn now pushing water uphill.

Didn’t even start off that well. No better than the shyte he was pushing out for the last couple of years on Sky, just that Whyte, Chisora etc. haven’t been PPV yet.

He made sure Whyte got one last Sky PPV fight before the DAZN deal started though...

The card in Leeds last year was very good on paper but turned into a stinker on the night but at least he put together a good card.

Now we have Pulev v Chisora for the Lineal Pudding Title, vacated by Whyte, headlining cards which is shocking but he exceeded that by the Dalton Smith headline fight supported by Sandy Ryan, Soup Hatton and Johnny Pisher.

The whole Matchroom event has become very stale and the lack of competitive match making a big factor.

A bit of Sweet Caroline, Diamante and Boring Bellew spouting shyte fails to hide the huge shyte we all clearly see on the canvas.

You may want to delete this post mate as I got banned recently for basically posting similar.

It is surprising that those words equate to signal theft but the snakes on the forum who are DAZN UK or Matchroom Employees are pressing the report button.

Difference is Bein sports would launch and get big sports rights. Just like BT did and just like amazon have. Its irrelevant what DAZN do elsewhere. Here in the UK my opinion is they won't be getting major non boxing rights ahead of amazon, sky and discovery. Have seen nothing from them so far and the fact DAZN themselves have openly said they have now made the pivot to a niche UK broadcaster.

Same here - people seem to go along with this weird assumption that Eubank is unstoppable if it's an inside fight / brawl whatever you want to call it. Based on what? Smith is proven to be excellent at close range. Eubanks got size on him and that's about it

Definitely has hand speed and power on Smith,

I don't hate this fight but Jr needs to fight that Kazhak bloke if he wants to get respect.

What would beating Smith prove lol? Smith is a bit better than Williams for sure but IMO probably a less dangerous fight.

Smith can't punch like Williams, and has less hand speed too.

Smith is just a really gritty guy with good skills, his physical attributes are pretty average at world level.

I expect Jr to absolutely toy with Smith if im being honest. Come forward high guard is like his bread and butter style to beat lol.

p4p Liam smith is far better than basic Chris Eubank jr. if they were the same weight Smith beats him 100 times out of a 100. Its just Smith moving up in weight that makes it a fight.
