Just because Inoue has a perfect record doesn’t mean he’s better than them. You really have to look at the context of their record in their era to really understand why theyre considered one of the best.
Great job reading through boxrec Jofre win by close decision at 37 over an elite featherweight - who would absolutely beat a 37 year old Donaire - and offered him a rematch provided Jofre beat Saldivar in a massive money fight (y'know, those don't come often). He took a keep busy fight and got destroyed by Arguello, then retired. BEFORE Jofre did. And btw, the dodgiest thing about that decision is that the Spanish judge was the only one who called it a draw, whereas the American had it clear for Jofre. Saldivar is just a name you recognize. He isn't one of Jofre's best wins, just biggest names and purses. Jofre fought in an era with one champion, and only eight weights. Inoue fights in an era with four per weight and seventeen divisions (I refuse to actually acknowledge bridgerweight). Apples to oranges. Guys like Medel, Caldwell, Caraballo and Yaoita were all much better fighters than Taguchi, Rodriguez, Narvaez and McDonnell. Medel himself at that point was a helluva lot better than the Donaire Inoue beat, and even prime for prime there's a great argument for Medel being better. You wouldn't know that, though. Those 'draws', were products of a scoring system where if you didn't win by more than four points on all three cards, it was declared a draw. And only one happened in his prime, Elias was highly regarded, and Jofre won on all of the cards. Anyway, if you want to actually learn something about Jofre, read Chris' bio on him. It's some of the best boxing writing ever. All primary sources, hundreds of pictures and some brilliant history about both Jofre and Brazilian/Argentinan boxing. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eder-Jofre...5&hvtargid=pla-1213601397581&psc=1&th=1&psc=1
Do you even know what you're talking about? People were creaming their panties over Bam stopping a completely shot SSR. I simply made a thread saying Cuadras and SSR were both shot and that Bam/Eddie/Robert kept Inoue's name out of their mouths. I also said that Bam was being a punk because a year ago he said he'd KO Inoue in a single round. Since he's been running his mouth and calling himself a special fighter, he should be looking at Inoue, the official P4P King on 2 lists. That's when @Flo_Raiden got triggered into oblivion and started with the I'm mad because no one's talking about Inoue 3 weeks after the Donaire fight. Make a dozen Bam threads. Don't bother me at all. I'll still remind everyone how Bam is being a punk.
There was only 1 Champion in Jofre's time. I believe Inoue could surpass him if he stays at BW as I think he is better than Harada who beat Jofre albeit in a controversial decision
He wasn't shot enough for you to pick Bam to win though It's cute you think you have to defend Inoue. His achievements speak for themselves, and easily outrank Bam's.
I picked SSR to KO Bam if he wasn't a shot fighter. SSR came into the ring even slower than his usual self.
You can’t blame me for seeing it that way. Your passive aggressive responses really gives off that vibe of how you feel about Bam ever since he took the spotlight. Don’t try and fool us, you know it’s true.
No. I actually like Bam. Don't love the kid, but I dig him. You had a serious problem with me saying he should target Inoue. That's on you, buddy. Don't know why you were triggered. And I wasn't even passive. I flat out said Bam just beat 2 shot guys.
