    My dude…

Carlos Zarate went (52-0, 51 KOs)
Ruben Olivares went (61-0, 57 KOs)

How can you not be impressed with that run?

I literally admitted being wrong in this thread. So it's not that.

You should watch things without an agenda. You'll see the real world for once.

Inoue's done with Bantamweight as soon as he grabs the WBO. He's having difficulty making 118. But what he's authored and in that fashion stands above Zarate and Olivares.

Fighters fought way more often back then and the resumes are mostly bums.

The most supremely conditioned boxers today couldn't fight 10 times a year. Not Floyd, not Manny, not Loma, not Golovkin. Today's fighters are more dangerous due to advancements in sports nutrition, training, etc..

Look at MLB. Elite guys like Scherzer, Verlander, deGrom, Martinez, Maddux — pitch every 5 days and have pitch counts. The guys of old don't stop throwing until the game's over.

BTW, definitely impressed and no question they're at the very top of the class. I just think Inoue belongs there as well.

You look at the work he's done and then you see the full set of skills on display.

At the very worst, Inoue has a good shot at beating Jofre/Olivares/Zarate.

Uh huh. That's why you still insist on saying Inoue ducked the 4 Superfly Kings when it's been shown Chocolatito wouldn't fight Inoue over money and the other guys were tied up by mandatories.

I think prime Jofre would. Donaire 1 was a great win but I think the 2nd fight Donaire was way passed his prime.
I'm not a fan of how people think that the whole history is summed up by last year. Look at how people were looking at Canelo before and after the Bivol fight. The same with calling Teo, Haney, Garcia and Tank the 4 kings. Canelo still a great fighter and the real 4 kings all faced each other. Lets see Inoue in 4 more fights against guys on Donaire's calibre and we could agree on your claim
Jofre steamrolled through the division with great performances and he also fought in people's backyards

And you still believe Inoue skipped flyweight in 2014 because he couldn't make it

Donaire looked aces before and after the first Inoue fight.

It's coming. Inoue will wipe out Fulton and MJ. And the rest of the 122 pounders

I don’t deny Inoue’s talents, he’s definitely one of the most athletically talented fighters in the lower weight class. But you still have to understand why those fighters of the past are seen as the best. You can see full set of skills on display with Jofre, Olivares, and Zarate as well when you watch their fights.
The guys that they beat don’t lie. Olivares has KO’d Lionel Rose who is arguably one of the most skilled pure boxing technicians at BW. Zarate also KO’d Alfonso Zamora who is probably the hardest punching BW of all time. And Jofre KO’d Jose Medel twice who is a very skilled and tricky counter puncher.

Both Zarate and Olivares dominated the BW division as well, they were undisputed and seen as the top dogs at that weight.

    It's nostalgia-driven.

The fighters of old would not have the same volume of bouts if they competed today. Nowhere close.

It’s not nostalgia-driven if you actually know how good fighters were back then. I’ll give you an example.

I'm not saying any of the guys we're talking about weren't great. They absolutely were and are legends of the game. You just dropped their records without context. Zarate fought frequently fought 6 or 8 times in a year. Today, most fighters fighting twice a year are considered highly active fighters.

I'm just saying, show some damn respect. You have Blind Georgie saying Inoue isn't even "a drop in the ocean" compared to Jofre.

Like, really? Inoue's a bum in comparison? Straight up stupid talk.
