Buddy McGirt fought Whitaker with a torn rotator cuff his career wasn't over afterwards ,Danny Williams carried on with a shoulder dislocated and ko'd his opponent . Larry Holmes fought Norton with a torn biceps tendon in his left arm.

Haye was advised to retire due to a shoulder injury and remained on the sidelines for a few years before the pound note lured him back out. George Groves was a shadow of himself in the Callum Smith fight after the shoulder injury in the 12th round v Eubank and promptly retired after that fight. It’s kinda weird that while you could make a case that Lewis overall had a better career than Tyson,Holyfield an Bowe, I would favour all 3 in their primes over Lewis though not by much

Larry Holmes Joe Louis Muhammad Ali I don't think Foreman would match up well vs Lewis, and I don't see even a prime Mike Tyson beating Lewis. Due to Lewis's massive attribute advantages and being a master at controlling distance, which the much smaller Tyson would have massive issues against.
