He is an absolute weapon. the confidence he now has in himself compared to the first 2 Max fights has leveled him up and made Max look he wasn't top 5 today. Yet Max would more than likely hammer everyone else in the division.
He is an extremely good fighter and only a great performance from a truly elite fighter will beat him. I hope he reigns for a long long time. Clearly the top 3 p4p fighters at the moment are Volk. Adesanya and Usman. Not sure what order though. All 3 are dominate long standing champs.
Hard to see anyone at Featherweight beating him. He's cleaned house as far as intriguing challenges are concerned, and can only really add to his reign there, can't say I blame him for wanting to try his hand at the LW belt. Volk and Usman are easily above that clown, who is unconvincing in a p4p sense to say the least. Volk and Usman have shown an increasing repertoire of skill, techniques, and an improvement in fight IQ with each passing fight, and almost every fight of theirs is extremely convincing.
Usman is the complete package, and his standup has improved a lot over the years. Not sure what your point is. There are still gaping holes in Adesanyas all around game - lesser strikers can hang with, and arguably out point him on the feet, and he's pretty weak in the grappling department.
They didn`t land more, Romero was doing nothing and just waiting to counter. He lacking gears too, huh?
All 3 fights Volk waited. He shoulda made a statement, especially in the 5th. After he was up 4 rounds.
He won a complete shut out against one of the greatest Feathweights of all time. He definitely made a statement Mark, what the hell are you smoking?
