Usyk is a tremendously underrated power puncher indeed. He even managed to have Joshua quite rocked in the 12th.

Garcia helping AJ........... yeah not to sure about that,

Usyk needs to use his bounce & angles while diverting out and not stay in the pocket with AJ for too long, if he must then he should incorporate more head movement which could help him & confuse AJ while making him more hesitant & not commit to his loaded up punches,

AJ also has stated that fighting a Southpaw opponent has been frustrating him.

Usyk is all wrong for Joshua, I agree.

But at the same time, Joshua never threw a punch with an intent to hurt Usyk last time, and still hurt him.

Lets see what happens if Joshua lands and actual power punch.

That’s because he wasn’t able to. Are you really trying to suggest Joshua just didn’t bother throwing power shots?

What do you mean he wasn't able to? He clearly landed good straight rights at times, but he didn't put that much power behind them due to being in a boxing match mindset. He didn't throw often to hurt, he threw to score points.

The point I'm making, is that the good straight rights that he did land, what if he lands them full power next time?

Unless you think he wont land a single right hand, Usyk will have to eat something next fight.

Usyk is not Jesus, he wont go the entire fight without getting hit, and the reality is Usyk saves energy for the final 4 rounds of a fight, which is why he takes rounds 1-4 or 5-8 at a slower pace, which is why Joshua won 3 of the middle 4 rounds arguably.

It's why Usyk often loses rounds early. He's easier to hit/throws less for periods of time.

There's no evidence Joshua is that fighter any more. He was even reluctant to close the show vs Pulev.

I'm not buying into the narrative he didn't throw bombs against Usyk because of the corner's tactics. He was hesitant - as he has been since 2017 bar the odd round here and there - and Usyk's movement denied him the openings.

His problem is not the lack of power or ability, it was mental issues. He can get over those. We'll see.

He's had 'mental issues' since 2017, so just 'getting over' them clearly isn't as straight forward as you assume.

Maybe a new coach can affect the margins of self-confidence (or the lack of) but he can't be transformative. Certainly not without more time and fights together.

And compared to Usyk, yes, Joshua lacks ability. It's head-to-head ability which counts in a fight.

He has size and power to his advantage but Usyk's skills and Joshua's lack of confidence all-but eliminated it in the first fight. I'm struggling to see what's changed since then other than the rhetoric...

See this is why you’re seen as naive. He wasn’t able to because Usyk’s footwork and positioning was so good.

It’s ridiculous to suggest that Joshua wasn’t trying to land powerful shots, of course he was. He just wasn’t able to.

AJ's army of casual fanboys just repeat every lie that comes out of their master's mouth like it's gospel.

Here he is two days before the first fight saying he knows what he's going to do

“I know what I’m doing. I know exactly what I’m doing. I know what I’m gonna do. I know...Knockout, Kronk style. When I watch things, I like Emanuel Stewart’s mindset. Obviously you’ve got to do your As and Bs and Cs but is you follow them they’ll lead to you to KO — and that’s what we’re here to do, put on a spectacular show, people want to see knockouts and that’s what we’ve got to deliver for the fans.”

    Straight from the horse's mouth

Coming from the guy who lied through his teeth about never having gone into a fight with a game plan before. Such an absurd and easily disprovable lie.

And he did throw and land big shots on Usyk. Do people actually watch the fights before they run their mouths?

And what's more he was wearing puncher's gloves whereas apparently Usyk wasn't

To be fair, he almost delivered on the knock out promise - right at the end of the 12th...

 If AJ boxed and didn't throw power shots which is a complete lie (he threw loads) then how comes the way smaller and lighter boxer Usyk who unlike him wasn't wearing puncher's gloves is the only one who wasn't hurt in the fight? Usyk is a CW master boxer with no power who wasn't even a puncher down at CW, right?

It’s just cope. Lots of the casual Joshua fans are relative newcomers to boxing only really taking an interest since 2016/2017 and buying into the Joshua hype.

Since he’s shown himself to be what he is, a good but not quite great HW, lots of them are having to try their best to cope with it.
