The fight will take place in Canada, so it somehow makes sense that it will be Simon Kean, after all, it shouldn't be a difficult task for Makhmudov, who will easily walk through any of the mentioned fighters...

On Balogun, I see Trey Lippe is back this month. Maybe hoping Balogun was just a Bentt on the road.

If it's not Simon Kean, his final decent available opponent in Canada, then he should fight the likes of Takam, Forrest or Guidry. They're all tricky opponents who are reasonably durable and hit hard enough to keep him honest.

Yes. I just hope it won't be a no-hoper like Pavel Sour.

If he's really booked to fight TBA in September I'm not getting my hopes up. Some Montréal bouncer is blissfully unaware he's enjoying his last summer with a normal looking nose.

I wonder if he is making any attempt to get on the AJ-Usyk undercard or is trying to line up a future fight with a HW that will be featured there?

It's not up to him, it's up to his promoter to find him a decent opponent.

By "he" I mean the Makhmudov and team. I am vaguely aware of his promoter's spotty track record but forget his name.

Kean wouldn't make it out of the 1st round and I'm not sure they would offer him enough money. Kuzmin would be a decent opponent, seems to have a good chin.

Well, if i had to guess i would say .
    - it's gonna be an american, a mexican or canadian
    - since no1 has been announced so far and its hard to find someone for him, i don't think its gonna be any TOP50 guy
    - so maybe Cusumano, Dawejko, Johnson, Adam Stewart, Trey Lippe or Molina :D

he would be a perfect signing for matchroom, unfortunately he’s hit his ceiling that he can reach with his current promoters.
