The women in Boxing are really doing their thing this years. UFC (MMA) & WWE (Pro Wrestling) always big up their women, glad we are finally doing the same. Anyway my top 5: 1. Katie Taylor 2. Claressa Shields 3. Alycia Baumgartner 4. Savannah Marshall 5. Seniesa Estrada
WBO female middleweight champion Savannah Marshall recently took to her official profile and revealed her P4P list 1. Oleksandr Usyk 2. Naoya Inoue 3. Josh Taylor 4. Eimantas Stannionis 5. Savannah Marshall 6. Tyson Fury 7. Artur Beterbiev 8. Canelo Alvarez 9. Joe Cordina 10. Errol Spence Honorary mentions Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano
Only 22 registered female pros at MW The 5th ranked one is 9-8-3 The 6th 3-4-2 The 7th is 2-2-1 The 11th is 2-15-1 12th is 1-0 13th is 1-1 14th is 1-2 18th is 0-9-0
Not sure who to rate as top 5 but in terms of ability I think Seniesa Estrada looks the best female boxer.
I'm not even knocking the gals. It just is what it is. In terms of talent and depth the women's game has an awful long way to go to catch up with the men's game. Not saying it won't improve in that regard with time but I'm just not prepared to play this game where we're forced to pretend a square is a circle.
Not even at strawweight you would find boxers like the number 5 within their top 50 too often. Male middlewight you'd have to look just inside the top 1000. Shows the huge difference in level.
In terms of pure quality Savannah Marshall is the best, most complete woman fighter I've seen. Katie Taylor- great boxer tho still amateurish in many ways, not a puncher. Serrano great pressure fighter, skills rather crude. Shields great speed, reflexes, a mix of elite skills and flaws, not a puncher. SM elite offensive and defensive boxing skills, huge puncher.
