I realised I hadn't made picks on my own thread.
Liston ko's Layne in 5rds or less.
    Ko's Louis in 5rds.
Stops Charles in 12rds in a great competitive fight.
Stops him in 6 rds in the rematch.
Ko's Walcott in11rds whilst behind in the scoring.
Stops him quick 1st rd in the rematch.
Stops a brave Lastarza in7rds after beating him up badly throughout the fight.
Kos him inside 7 rds in the rematch.
Stops Moore inside 7 rounds, dropping him multiple times, only Moore's pride keeps him going that long. Clean sweep for Sonny, and all stoppages.

On March 19, 1948 Lee Savold set the record for the quickest knockout in a main event bout at Madison Square Garden by knocking out Italy's Gino Buonvino. He was the underdog, and had been substituted for Joe Baksi, who had injured his ankle, on only 48 hours' notice.

In 1960, Howard King last 7 rounds with prime Sonny Liston but Joe Louis and ezzard Charles get stopped earlier?

Machen goes the full distance with Liston but Charles, Walcott and Moore are not going to?

Harold Johnson beat Machen after both Archie Moore and Walcott knocked him out.

Buonvino was stopped by non punchers such as Lastarza ,who floored him twice before stopping him in 6rds.Stopped by Lhy Barone in3 rds being knocked down twice.Stopped in 1 rd by Baksi and 2 rds by Marciano.

King was stopped twice by Liston.
Louis was 37 years old and his legs and punch resistance were gone,he doesn't see the 6th rd with Sonny. Moore was 39/41his legs were gone ,and his cross armed stationary defence wont work against Liston's booming jab, size ,and two fisted power.
Liston ,as I said stops Charles in 12 rds in a competitive fight and stops him in 6rds in the rematch. The first battle having softened Ezzard up.

Machen ran all night against Liston even turning his back on 2 occasions, the referee credited him with one round, the 11th, very difficult to ko a man who makes no effort to win.
To demonstrate your facile grasp of boxing and how it works.
Liston ko's Patterson in1 rd twice Ali beats Liston twice in a total of 7rds,but Patterson goes 12 rds with Ali .Norton goes the distance 3 times in very close fights with Ali but gets blown away by Foreman in2 rds Ali ko's Foreman in 8rds! Frazier gives Ali hell in their trilogy beating him in their
1st fight, but gets bounced around like a ball by Foreman.

indeed he was. Yet King was never as good as even an old Joe Louis. Old Joe was still capable of handling king in much the way Liston did.

This is true. Things don’t ALWAYS fall the way results against common opponents might predict. But they usually do. Upsets are hard to predict. oddsmakers are not wrong all of the time are they?

different guys, different results. Upsets happen.

Either way in order to set odds, and odds are there to provide what is most probable, you base it on results of common opponents. That is the right way.

foreman blasting Frazier was an upset.

Louis never lost early in a fight, so I doubt it.

We are referring to a 37 years old Louis here who,by his own admission ,had his legs go on him in the 5th rd.
A prime Louis was knocked down in the
    1st by Braddock
    4th bySchmeling
    3rd by Galento
    1st by Buddy Baer
    1st and 4th by Walcott
    3rd by Walcott
Liston hit harder than all of them and he would be hitting a 37 years old version of Louis
Louis said himself," I was younger then ,you can take more when you are younger."

So what. Everyone hit harder than Ali…yet he decked Liston in the first round and had Sonny wobble in the first fight.

If Walcott nails Sonny like he nailed Charles or like he nailed Marciano in the first round what happens then?

walcott hit harder than Ali and anyone else who hit Liston on the choppers.

Walcott certainly did not hit harder than Williams ,and probably not as hard as DeJohn. This is Sonny in his prime, not the older guy with only 2 rounds under his belt in the last 2years.

I don't know why I'm even replying to you, you make no sense whatsoever ,and just leave me irritable with your silly remarks. Posters pm me and say" don't take the bait "",don't get sucked in",and Boy are they right!

question: who is the best fighter Williams actually knocked out?

question two: who is the best fighter Walcott knocked out.

How did that effect his chin?

George Foreman had a chin of iron after a ten year absence.
