Current Bivol vs the Kovalev that fought Canelo. Who wins? Would it be close? I think Bivol shuts him out. Canelo might be getting his rear kicked.

I will be surprised if Bivol puts up a better fight than Kova did

This guy Bivol dominates top contenders like Pascal, Barrera, and Joe Smith. This guy has a Calzaghe like dominating style but with more power. I get the feeling he can't believe his own luck, that he knows he can beat little Canelo. In my mind, I see a clear win for Bivol, I had the Plant fight even at the time of the stoppage. How would Plant fare against Bivol? It would be a clear one sided win for Bivol in my opinion. This fight may mess up the GGG fight for later this year.

Prime Kovalev was a killer in the literal sense. Canelo did not seek him out in 2015. Just sayin'.

Yup. Beterbiev has a china chin.

Canelo should fight him in September.

Bivol would win that relatively easily.
Seems like Kova is close to done.

    Kovalev beats Bivol.

I don't understand why Bivol is hyped so much.

The Kovalev who fought Clenelo vs Bivol? That shell of Kovalev? This isn't even a question

    Agree 100%

By the start of 2018, Kovalev was pretty much past it. He was drained just to make the LWH limit and he's always fought a very tiring style with those constant ram-rod jabs and big combinations. He was never really going to be able to do that past aged 33-34 because nobody could.

Because nobody seems to be able to land clean, damaging punches on him while he effortlessly lands truckloads of punches on his opponents. People underrate him because he doesn't produce highlight-reel KOs.
