This is the right answer. Just had this debate with some guy yesterday. Joshua was never up at any point in the fight. Bellew was.
1.The MD with Breidis.Usyk's win was close, but better then that of Jai Opetaia over Briedis in my opinion.Dorticos' MD with Breidis was fake, not so close fight.The win of Mairis against Gevor was also fake, he lost that 111:117, or best 112:116, but i think he wasn't prepared good for that fight, or fighting outside of his country is a problem for him, all his bad resulst were in foreign countries, while with Usyk he was in home 2.When Usyk was losing on points against Belew before knocking him out to secure the win. 3.Chisora, first half of the fight with that pressuring Chisora looked more dangerous for him then the whole fight with Joshua. 4.Joshua, just for 1 or 2 rounds.Don't know if AJ overrated himself or underrated Usyk, but that "lefty" was too difficult sort of a puzzle for him.After some good punches from Usyk, Joshua looked shocked and "scared for his life" with that glass jaw 5.Gassiev, the perfect opponent for him, he always needed 4, 5 seconds to prepare his attacks, it was impossible for Gassiev to just throw something fast, there was no such algorithm in his head, all the time after every punch in his face, there were couple of seconds calming his head, then like a bull concentrating his power, aiming at Usyk...and then buum, another sloppy left in his head.Wallisch did the same to Gassiev, at least tried to be like Usyk, and was winning all rounds with that tactic (but he's no Usyk and he's energy in that style was gone after 4 rounds)
This question is about which opponent was the most difficult. One of them should probably be replaced with Michael Hunter, the other maybe with Huck. Mchunu and Glowacki are around Bellew level. Although what's wrong with Bellew and Chisora? Laugh at Bellew all you want for his doltish personality, but the man has Haye x2, Makabu, Masternak, Chilemba, Cleverly, Flores, McKenzie x2 and Ajisafe on his resume, which ain't bad at all. Chisora should have wins over Pulev, Takam, Price, Szpilka, Gashi, Scott on his resume and should have WHyte, Parker and Helenius. What's wrong with that?
Gassiev should have been a top 2 toughest fight on paper but he made it look effortless which was a massive shock at the time with everyone predicting a close fight. Briedis Chisora Bellew Joshua Hunter
Did you watch the Makabu and Chilemba fights? Watching a bunch of handicapable teens try to bang eachother in wheelchairs had more coordination.
1. Briedis 2. Bellew 3. Chisora 4. Joshua 5. Hunter Not even bothering to include Gassiev, it was completely one sided.
Yeah, I watched all three. Bellew-Makabu looked like a perfectly normal southpaw vs, orthodox match. Chilemba was just being Chilemba,, that's par for the course with him.
If you consider being competitive, but still managing to get outworked and lose 117-111 or 115-113, then yeah, as having Usyk's number, then I guess he had Usyk's number. In no way, shape or form did Briedis do enough to even tie Usyk, much less beat him. Knock this hater bull**** off.
I think people misunderstand the Bellew fight. Usyk typically relies on either outworking or getting his shots off first. Traditionally Usyk has struggled against smaller fighters that tend to have quicker hands. Usyk has to adjust his style to be more patient and find the timing when fighting guys with quicker hands that also have power. Whereas against a guy like Aj Usyk immediately does into outworking Aj because it's immediately apparent Usyk has the quicker hands. Bellew wasn't harder than Usyk just because Usyk gave up some early rounds playing it safe. It just means Usyk wasn't too worried about what he was seeing and weas comfortable closing on the back half without needing to take any risks. Against Aj however usyk was fulling intending on outworking and wearing Aj down, which he did. However doing that against a big guy foir 12 rounds eventually opens you up. Usyk got rocked once or twice by some good shots from AJ and was in more danger in that fight than the Bellew fight. Not to mention going to the cards in the UK automatically puts you at more risk than feeling out the timing for what was an eventuall KO. Now the real question is why isn't Hunter on thsi list? Hunter had similar attributes to Bellew in good power and fast hands but unlike Bellew he understood what his advantages were. The real list looks like this. Briedis Hunter AJ Chisora Bellew
