I wasn't counting Fury or Wilder as active tbf but I'd certainly like Wilder to come back. Knocks out everyone bar Usyk and Fury. Agree on Anderson too.
I don't think he does. I think he's took so much physical and emotional damage that he won't be the same. No way he can be. I think that Ruiz shows him up. Wilder's never been the best heavy in the States.
Bakole for years has been known as a great gym fighter and showed glimpses against Yoka but I’m not sold on him. His spar was Joyce was supposedly epic so I’d love to see that made as neither are getting a whiff of Usyk or the retired one anytime soon. Failing that, either versus Dubois would be entertaining.
Fair points. Just think that if Fury is seen as an elusive fighter with good defence and Wilder put him down 4 times then what would he do to everyone else, even if he isn't as good as before. It was only Fury's insane powers of recovery that got him up on the 2nd and 3rd knockdowns.
Or maybe Fury isn't the elusive slickster everyone claims he is and is just a good mover for a guy that size? This is a man that landed the flushest of uppercuts... on himself. And if the most limited heavy of our time (Wilder) puts you down 4 times, you're not a defensive wizard.
Wilder is a warrior and has landed big punches on every fighter he has faced. Perhaps he is much better than most people think. Power, huge heart and passed the warrior code with flying colours for me.
I'd back Dubois to beat Bakole and quite comfortably too. He's younger, fresher and with McGuigan, will constantly be improving. Old man Bakole is too nice imo.
Couldn't tell you, I certainly won't be googling it anyway to check. I was meaning in the ring, he's too nice and timid, like Parker.
He fought the best fighter in a Trilogy FFS - 'Boxthing is a brutal bizthness' a wise man once said from Hove
And what about his other 39 odd opponents? Best fighters? Tyson was considered washed up and past his best. Get a clue. Usyk is the man at HW, not Tyson.
