journeyman correct original meaning definition. good tough. not what new casual have changed definition of. because I know boxing so long not new casual. to be journeyman actual meaning is not loser with 120 losses! Lol. that is just loser profession. why call journeyman? to loser who get pay for loss every time & has whole career on losses! huge loss % is not journeyman .

Chisora could be in a lot better place. If every loss went his way, he would have:

Pulev (the second time) (He won this on the cards)
    Whyte
    Helenius
    Parker
Malik Scott (he won by KO)
Carlos Takam (He won by KO)

Chisora at minimum deserves journeyman, he's a gatekeeper and with better luck could have been a fringe contender who got a few title shots. (As opposed to 1)

Yeah and I was once heavyweight champion of the world. No disrespect to journeymen but calling Chisora that is straight up hating.

Behave yourself, I don't care if you boxed before, calling Chisora a journeyman is ridiculous, you are just saying that because you clearly don't like the bloke.

Kamil Sokolowski is a good tough journeyman. 11 wins with 26 losses and only 4 of them are by stoppage. There's nothing wrong with journeymen, boxing needs them but calling Chisora that is just dumb

I know, absolutely nothing wrong with being a journeyman, like I said the sport needs them, but Chisora is not a journeyman. We never going to agree on the matter so I'll leave it there .

may be it different generations of boxing. old school meaning is like Scott LeDoux & Jesse Ferguson & George Chaplin & Tex Cobb & Ross Purrity. good tough journeyman heavyweight . not bad.
    this is Chisora.
you act it as if I insult you mother.

No disrespect as he carved out a good career, but can a journeymen who never sniffed a belt be a legend? Has he ever even fought for a world title? I mean, he's not even a world title challenger technically.

I'd say he most assuredly is not a legend. Just a very tough journeymen.

    1) He's not a journeyman, he's a gatekeeper at absolute minimum.

    2) What are you talking about? 2012 Vs Vitali for the WBC... He lost in a UD, but that's still "technically" fighting for one of the real world titles.

Edit: besides which, there's more to being a journeyman/gatekeeper/contender than whether you ever had a title fight - loads of gatekeepers and journeymen have had title fights and it doesn't make them legit contenders.

Very tough and just as importantly very game - he's never been one to hide from potentially rough losses or guys that could bang.

Yes, he's never held one of the proper title belts, but he's still fought a hell of a lot more legit fighters than many of the supposed contenders have.

Chisora comes to fight, isn’t afraid to step in with anyone and gives a good account of himself most of the time. He’s basically become a gatekeeper/steeping stone. As far as a legend … nope

The original meaning was someone who travelled to work for someone else.

yes. skilled worker from old England times. pay by per the day's work. better than unskill loser. good skill worker . level = below master crafter
& more than unskill labourer or low quality worker.

same in boxing. below elite level & good worker. Chisora yes.
