Nothing massive, just quantity. I do find it a bit odd people rave over Andre Ward's resume... but not like it's very deep either.
Not a fanatic. A realist. Not talking about the win either. What I am saying is that saying Roy in his prime wins isn’t the automatic win people claim. Joe was not in his prime either. That’s it. Nothing more.
Joe was a LOT closer to his prime then RJJ was. I don't think that's up for debate. Prime for prime, I doubt Joe C sees last bell.
We doubted Baldomir would beat Judah. Mayorga would beat Forrest twice. Point is, there are no guaranteed wins in any sport.
Joe's biggest advantages are the things needed to deal with canelo. Canelo has a punchers chance but Joe prob schools him
if RJJ had judah level whiskers and lack of discipline, in is prime, I might agree. If RJJ had his confidence lost ala Viper from Mayorga, I might agree. Joe C v RJJ has nothing IMO, that would allow RJJ to suffer a set back like that. Prime for prime at 168, RJJ had the power and speed advantage. Of course there's never a guarantee.
No, neither were at their best but that when comparing them at their best, it doesn't matter much. Calzaghe was not a shell of himself, Roy was. A recent example is Chisora/Pulev. Pulev schooled him when both were in their prime but currently, even with both being past it, Pulev was much more past it and Chisora edged him out are to some, drew with Pulev Both at their prime a fight would obviously be close and competitive though i would favor Roy. Calzaghe could win it though.
Bivol is better than Calslappy and thats non debateable, he actually knows how to punch and box not just move around and slap
Joe wouldn’t even fight Roy in his prime. He doesn’t even believe that he’d have beaten him. Nothing more to look at.
