Wait a minute, wait... They don't include Canelo fights as part of the deal? Really? Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa. Oh and yikes: https://www.planetsport.com/boxing/news/dazn-report-eye-watering-losses-for-2020-accounts Lost a billion plus dollars in 2020. I'm sure they'll turn it around.
It's been increasingly disappointing. I've subscribed for 2 years now. I won't be renewing. Their production is total amateur hour. Their commentators are a joke. They still make you pay for big ppv fights. It's infuriating to try to watch a card on there. It's amazing how they can get so much wrong.
Only Canelo fights have been PPV just recently. Not sure if AJ vs Usyk 2 will be PPV But I’m sure if AJ wins they will likely switch him to PPV as well. if I wasn’t such a boxing addict, I would have unsubscribed long ago but alas here I am paying them just like I do Shotime & ESPN. Boxing be the only reason.
It is the worst boxing production I have ever witnessed, consistently. There is never a good telecast to break up the awful, it is just pure garbage. Even a card with great boxing is tainted by their futility.
Not sure if they even showing AJ Usyk 2 on DAZN, it said Sky won TV rights...whatever that means. Maybe still on for US subscribers.
I subscribe to them. With Canelo going to PPV it is no longer worth it. They now charge $20 a month and the remaining fighters on it are not worth subscribing for, unless it is an ad hoc basis and you only get it for the occasional fight and then cancel it.
Remember when Dazn’s pitch was ‘PPV fights without the PPV price’? Remember when Dazn/Matchroom was going to take over the U.S. market and sign all the major American fighters? Pepperidge Farm remembers. As much money as they were throwing around at the start, they should have invested more heavily in production. They could have hired HBO’s production crew, the best that’s ever done boxing, instead of the high school AV club, and probably the announce team. What I’ve seen is borderline unwatchable. And dang sure not worth it if they’re going to take the big fights and make them PPVs with a separate price tag.
DAZN lost the rights to the USYK-AJ fight. Doubt it will even be aired on there Thinking of dumping it for $20 plus tax now
