The problem is that any momentum that Wood gained in that fantastic win over Conlan is now being lost to inactivity. Surely he can get out every 3 months or every 4. Even with a couple of voluntary defences. They used to do this in the nineties. It's been 3 months, no word on the next one. Probably get thrown to the wolves on a DAZN USA card. If these guys kept fighting they would make good names for themselves even if they are being broadcast by an app.

He needed the fight at Forest this summer.

Up to the Premier league, would have been a huge night

Good fight, I'd light to see this.

Wood made a fan after his peformance against Conlan.

Lara's on an incredible run and a bit of a wrecking machine, I'd fear for Wood a bit if I'm honest.

Wood was brilliant in the Conlan fight.... he stuck in there, showed incredible heart and his persistence paid off. It was a great knockout.

Conlan however COULD NOT MISS with the right hand. He was landing it at will throughout the fight and whilst being the slicker fighter who could probably set traps and set that shot up in a better manner than Lara........... based on that last fight, I have no reason to not believe that Lara wouldn't also land it.

Lara being a much bigger banger than Conlan and with the momentum he's built along with being a bit of a wrecking ball , I think he would stop Wood.

Doesn’t Lara have unfinished business with Josh Warrington first?

He does, but I've a feeling Josh will try and dodge it

After the absolute pasting he was starting to dish out in the first attempt at unfinished business I think Warrington and his team know that it would be career suicide to go in with him again. An anorexic version of Lee Selby and a faded Carl Frampton Lara is certainly not.
