Rocky never faced anybody like peak Foreman. I simply don't know how it would turn out and won't pretend to.
There is nothing Marciano can do here. It would be like a black bear vs a polar bear. Marciano can't fight backing up, had leaky defense, and would be fighting fire with fire. I see Marciano being launched nearly a foot in the air with the first serious uppercut Foreman lands. Marciano is battered by a sledgehammer jab, pushed back like a bowling pin, gets framed, clubbed, and battered against the ropes with a bloody nose. He goes down twice before the towel is thrown in and Marciano desperately tries to continue on wobbly legs but the ref has seen enough. TKO round 1.
If Marciano makes it past 2 or 3 rounds he has a good shot despite what others say. He was tough as nails and lets not forget that though Foreman was knocking Frazier down over and over Joe kept getting up and so would Rocky. I lean towards George based off cuts but I give the Rock a solid chance.
George Foreman TKO 2 Rocky Marciano George is the strongest heavyweight ever and maybe the hardest hitter. He was incredible at throwing hooks and uppercuts on shorter crouching men. He was 6’3 225lb of muscle. He was mean, aggressive, and had a pole ax jab.
I think Marciano is very underrated but for him prime George is the worst possible matchup of all time. I give him a fair chance to beat most HW champions in a 15 rounder, but nearly no chance he survives the early rounds vs Foreman.
Marciano's crouching style would spell disaster vs Big George's uppercuts, i see this one being over in the first 3 rounds one of the worst style match ups for Marciano.
This match is all wrong for Marciano, as his most adamant defenders will generally admit. When it comes down to which of them was greater, then that is a more complex argument.
