Same. I don't know how anyone couldn't appreciate the fighter that Rocky was but I think Foreman would simply smash him. George would have every physical advantage and stylistically Rocky would be right in front of him.
Agreed. Marciano was a truly great fighter in my eyes, but it’s too difficult for me to imagine what kind of strategy he could use against foreman. I mean it’s not impossible that he could get lucky but I just can’t envision it.
I like Rocky. I'll give it a try. The tall Foreman would have trouble hitting a crouching Marciano. All he could do is hit his shoulders and top of his head. He would have to lean foreword to do that and his blows would be at an awkward angle. When Marciano got inside, he would own Foreman's midsection and chin. Rocky could take him.
Foreman spent basically his whole career pulling, shoving, and turning guys right into his punches, breaking their guards, smothering their punches, and redirecting them like a matador. He was especially effective at using these tactics against short crouching men. Whenever Rocky tries to get within his preferred range Foreman would be pushing him back or turning him into another direction.
You should maybe watch Foreman vs Frazier 1 and 2 or Foreman vs Qawi if you think Rocky's crouching would be some sort of advantage for him. Frazier was just an inch taller than Marciano and Qawi was 3 or four inches shorter. Foreman absolutely could and likely would get to Rocky.
Rocky would get hurt badly in this fight. Or knocked out cold and not get hurt. Foreman would totally destroy Rocky and it wouldn’t be pretty. Foreman can take any shot Rocky can land so that’s not gonna be a problem. I could literally see Rocky having doo doo in his pants after a few Foreman uppercuts. Rocky may be 49-0 blah blah but not happening against Foreman

You’re basing this off licking Fragile Norton and head in his lap, fish barrel Frazier? Marciano is more elusive then given credit for I don’t see the stupid Joe comparison, Foreman is there to be hit and hit he will be, we’ve seen Foreman react to some good ones on the chops from a sloppy fighter like Lyle who had no inside game, he just swung his hands and so did Foreman. The education up close will be vast, George is gonna be in the fight of his life and Marciano will chew him up after the fifth.
Doesn't quite work like that. Foreman had the best uppercuts of all time, he would throw a ton of them. Also when Marciano got inside, Foreman was the best of all time at pushing his guy away (as seen in frazier fight where he bench presses him back into range about 5x) and then attacking with brutal hooks and uppercuts. Lastly, Foreman was 6'3 220lb and had insane strength for a man. The idea of even a super strong 5'10 185lb man swarming into him and out slugging him just would never happen. Its a physical mismatch.
