Why is no one mentioning that the fight was at 140? Fortuna looked tiny in there.

Tank looked massive versus Cruz and ancient Gamboa but I don’t remember any of his fans discrediting him afterwards. That Cruz fight looked like a draw to me despite the size advantage Tank enjoyed. Hmm…

Garcia didn’t win because of weight. He dominated a pretty good opponent. Haven’t seen Tank do that in a while. These two need to fight but I suspect it’s not going to happen any time soon. Tank will fight a bum in his next fight or smaller guy. Call it a hunch.

Fortuna was out of shape so he had to have it at 140. He looks on the verge of retirement or at least permanent gatekeeper status.

Good win for Garcia. Hope they can make a big fight next.

TBF, Team Fortuna was completely fine with it being at 140 because they took the fight at 7 weeks notice. They didn't want to have to worry about making weight.

Fortuna hasn't been at his best for years. No different than the Bam/SSR fight.

Fortuna looked like Cuba Gooding Jr. He was pretty doughy.

That said, Garcia beat him like he should have.

But the USA's east coast and west coast scenes seem to have become a sport of their own.

I don't get what they see in Garcia or Gervanta Davis, honestly. The actual world champions at lightweight and junior welterweight were never mentioned from the participants mouths last night. Haney was even there and only got a brief moment to talk.

They (Garcia and Davis fans) seem to be in their own bubbles.

It's like both coasts have their own scenes and forget the rest of the world.

Being a part of the rest of the world, it's difficult for me to get too excited about them.

They can do their own thing. That's fine.

But anything with a screaming Chris Mannix these days seems way overhyped.

The fact that almost an hour after the fight I turned back and they were still interviewing Garcia on a stool and hyping the Behind the Scenes of the next KS someone YouTuber fight made me realize DAZN USA is quickly losing the original fans they targeted.

They now seem to be becoming folks who only show up for the hang.

No substance. Just hype. Hype. More Hype. They seem to want to be the Desperate Housewives or Kardashian sports channel.

Seems like they are going off the rails.

Not even comparable. Bam's performance against SSR was legit. He moved up in weight and beat a guy who has had his most success at 115. Fortuna is a 130 pounder and was never as good as SSR.

Both are on the back burner of their careers. Past success means jack when you're severely inactive for long periods. What does Fortuna not being better than SSR have to do with anything?? Missed the whole point.

I'm glad you're back @ellerbe after a short break. I hope you learned your lesson son.

And i 100% agree with your statement. Fortuna isn't a 140 pounder. It was a mismatch physically. No reason for CRYan to act like he beat Taylor, Tank and Haney in one person.

Tank and Gamboa are the same height, he is an inch and a half taller than Cruz.

Gamboa was a little guy and was shot when he fought Tank. Even with one leg he made it interesting. They are called weight classes for a reason not height classes. Mike Tyson was short for a HW but I don’t recall anyone calling him small. Those are two examples of smaller guys Tank fought. He had a big weight advantage against both. He will not have a weight or size advantage against Garcia but it’s a moot point because he ain’t fighting Ryan until he is made to fight him, kicking and screaming.

Tank is a coward who will only fight no hope opponents. Cruz was a replacement opponent who almost beat him. Next time Tanks team will be more careful with their cherry picking
