And Griffin has what? 2 robbery wins against Toney and a DQ against Jones? Old man Bika gave Ward a very close fight.
Of course he would not, missed where I said no?. Follow the post chain if you want proper context to what i said.
On this one to anyone who actually watched the fight. Hometown scorecards all round but that fight was close.
No, i'm ignoring your one-sided bogus irrelevant questioning. Andre Ward is NOT some barometer to greatness. Bika's not even a top win for Ward FFS....
I certainly did live then. And Roy was certainly not going anywhere outside his country. I’m not saying he needed to even fight Joe then. I’m saying he was also selective in who he fought as well. I’m not even saying Joe would have beat him at that time. All I’ve said is that it is no guarantee that Roy beats Joe just because he wasn’t in his prime when they did fight. They weren’t even in the same division as you or someone else already noted. So again, people need to say Roy wouldn’t lose to Joe in his prime is just to make themselves feel better. Excuses were always made when Roy lost. It’s lame. Every fighter is beatable. Every single one. You say Joe was content at fighting at a lower weight because it was more suitable for him. Yet, Roy could have went to heavy and stayed there. But he didn’t. He chose a sloth for an opponent and refused to fight the best in the division.
Because he kept whining that he wanted career defining fights. You have no issue with Joe staying out of Roy’s way when he was prime, before then giving him a 50/50 deal when he was shot?
Roy didn’t have to leave his country. Again, he had the luxury of being an American. Roy wasn’t selective on who he fought. That’s a myth. No, there’s no absolute certainties in boxing. However, he was clearly operating on a higher level. Whilst Joe was getting dropped by a Euro level fighter and going life and death with Robin Reid, who lost either side of fighting Joe, Roy was beating guys whilst barely losing rounds in the majority of his fights. You’re really going to compare Roy not staying at HW, with a guy who had to starve himself in order to make weight to remain in a weak division? You really think that that’s the same thing?
so no ones picking Canelo then? funny that.. a couple of months ago he was beating Usyk, Hopkins, Calzaghe, Beterbiev etc
