Very nice observations here. Usyk by TKO R9 though.

Damn it son!!!! Now watch AJ actually win.:risas3:

Great breakdown of the fight and what each guy should expect for the rematch.

I agree with R Garcia we should see a more defined plan from AJ. Garcia took a sloppy Maidan and really tuned his game up without too much of a stylistic change.

This could come down to God given GRIT which both men have in my opinion. AJ might have given up a few times but he also demonstrated the GRIT to pull his self up round after round which takes so much to do.

I still feel all advantages, even with Garcia in the mix, goes to Usyk. The level of adaptation, set moves, footwork, engine and GRIT points to him as the winner.:boxing1

Got to go with Usyk by late TKO around the 11th.

    Great job Rummy!!!:aplastao:

Rummy: "Most observers agree that a biggest mistake for AJ is trying to outbox a master boxer, and he had no plan B."
George Foreman: "AJ should have been what he is - a puncher."

If AJ were to win, he would have the best heavyweight resume, by two shades at least, and become a legend.

Am a bit disappointed, Rummy. Stating AJ should use Furys tactics in Wilder III suggests that AJ is as good a boxer as Fury, and Usyk is as bad a boxer as Wilder. Neither is true.

Let's keep this in mind: Eddie H just invested hundreds of millions in future AJ bouts. Usyk needs a KO and I hope his team realizes it.

This fight will be more competitive than the first., but i still see Usyk' speed being a big factor in him coming away with the W. Looking foward to this one for sure!

The problem for AJ in the first fight was that he couldn't win by taking two to give one because Usyk's punches were so damaging.

If it was just a boxing skill deficit I don't think this would be a hard problem for AJ to solve. The problem was his advantages weren't big enough.

I have a funny feeling about this fight though, hard to ignore how much money could be made if AJ wins. What have the outside the ring events taken out of Usyk? Has AJ gotten into a better mindset? What will the judging be like?

I think war will have hardened Usyk more if anything. His countrymen would want him to go all out and put Ukraine on the world stage as the West slowly forget about the conflict. War Usyk.

I wasn't meaning to suggest either, but I still maintain that AJ needs to make things far more physical, and Fury has quite a few of those tricks mastered. Regardless of Usyk being technically superior to Wilder, and regardless of Fury being superior to AJ - making things more physical is something AJ should (at least theoretically) be able to do, at least to some degree. And as skilled as Fury is, the tactics he used wasn't exactly a reinvention of the wheel. A great trainer like Emanual actually helped instill these tactics into the games of both Lewis and Wlad. Not saying you can teach AJ too many tricks now, especially against a smooth operator like Usyk. But all the same, if AJ isn't more physical, then short of a well timed concussive punch, I can't see him winning. I think he'll at least try to make things more physical.

I agree, and wish I'd made mention of that in the video. If anything, I imagine that whole situation would have Usyk even more motivated than usual. I suppose that is something that could maybe work against him, but I don't imagine it will.

    Great stuff as usual.

The Ring panel of 20 experts had something like 18-2 picking Usyk. I feel like people are overlooking AJs strength a little bit, if he puts Usyk down even once, and it's not unthinkable, he can get a close win on the cards in the Arabia.
