    WBC rankings -

    Wilder
    Joyce
    Parker
    Sanchez
    Ruiz Jr
    Mahkmudov (lol)

So does Usyk fight Wilder for WBC belt?

Or does Usyk fight his mandatory for the other belts?

I think Usyk will look to become undisputed before anything else, so will Usyk get an automatic shot at the WBC belt?

Usyk will probably defend one of the belts, until someone will fight for WBC, most likely It's Wilder vs Sanchez

Then in 2023 we will have undisputed HW champion. then Usyk will fight one more time for all the belts and retire.

Fury will come back after that and fight some bum like 99% of the time.

If Wilder beats Usyk, we may well get Wilder vs Joshua.

Wilder KOs the feather fisted cruiser, Fury comes out of retirement for another trilogy with Wilder. goes 5-0-1 to become the GOAT heavy.

Big fights are seldom made and if Fury were to retire and Wilder and Usyk are older 37+ the heavyweight division will continue to trend downward.

With all of the money thrown around, if Usyk beats both guys, I wouod be shocked if he retired. There will be a Usyk Fury 2, a trilogy with AJ, fight with Wilder, maybe even fat Andy. Fighters rarely retire when people throw big money at them.

I could see Usyk retire if he gets jobbed on the cards against AJ. No way he’s getting a rematch in that scenario and no way Fury fights him if Usyk loses to AJ even if it’s a robbery decision. Plus these guys are all old. They will probably be essentially retired in a few years. Wlad could fight until he was ancient because his size and style allowed it. Usyk has to move and he’s small for a HW.

I’m amazed he’s able to do what he’s doing even though he’s probably on the down slope. His boxing skills, gas tank and mobility are carrying him but for how long? He’s too small to sustain extended punishment from giant opponents. Fighting much bigger guys is tough. Ask Canelo.

The WBC didn't even let Wlad fight for the belt when it was vacated.
They will let the guy they want to win it fight an easy mark for the vacant strap.

You don't become GOAT by beating the same bum 5 times........you just don't.

It would end in a stoppage. A shot, shaken Wilder does even worse than AJ.

I’d call him the GOAT. A gold medalist, unified the cruiserweight division full of killers in very few fights, moved up to heavyweight where many gave him no chance in the era of super heavyweights, beat the golden boy at heavyweight (twice in this hypothetical), then beat the largest and most skilled heavyweight there has ever been to unify the heavyweight division, then retiring undefeated. With that Marciano retirement feat and the Ali like war-saga in Ukraine.. that’s the new ‘greatest ever’ right there. Documentaries and lots of love for his clownish personality - people will talk about him like Ali for the next fifty years. The only argument against this is that he doesn’t speak fluent English and he isn’t American. Objectively it would be hard to dispute that GOAT status. Unlike Ali, in the future when there’s a 7 foot, 300lb Floyd Mayweather in the heavyweight division, Usyk jock riders will be able to point to Usyk’s victory against Fury as evidence. He would be immune to future criticisms and arguments about eras being better in the present than past. Boxing purists will love that.

All this is just fantasy at the moment, but it’s not that far out of the realms of possibility.

I think you’re confusing cultures here. Many (if not most) cultures value health and honor over money. Usyk is very clearly not motivated by money, he’s not someone making it out of the hood in a culture where obscene and wasteful wealth is idolized.

I agree that he’s not here for long at heavyweight, if Joshua is a tough fight I think there’s a fair chance it’s his last fight coming up. Fury is too unpredictable, and I don’t think he’ll want to fight Usyk. Usyk is moving closer to 40, he has concerns about what is happening in Ukraine, and I don’t think he loves boxing like he once did. I honestly think he’s going to put on a show against Joshua for the people of Ukraine and call it a day, either way I think this might be the last time we see Usyk in the ring.
Maybe seeing Lomachenko in the ring again will ignite something in him.

That’s a more concerning fight than Fury imo, I think I’d favour Wilder

Lots in the above I don't necessarily agree with...but I do think Usyk's career is drawing to a close sooner than people realize. Usyk began his amateur career in 2002. He's been in the sport for almost 20 years and that's a lot of wear and tear. Moreover, Usyk isn't a slugger-type fighter - his game depends on his hand-speed, mobility, and balance. Those performance areas decline more quickly than sheer punching power does.

I think Usyk is game for one more fight if he beats AJ (as I believe he will). But lining up a fight with Fury could be a long, drawn-out process because even if Usyk is hefting 3 of the 4 belts coming into it - Fury's fame gives his camp considerable negotiating power. We all know that Fury isn't above playing games and any delays in the fight will probably work to Fury's advantage (see above) rather than Usyk's. So it's not impossible that Fury will tease a fight with Usyk only to have subsequent dramas and delays result in Usyk simply losing interest and retiring.
