Achievements wise, you could make a case for him.
But h2h, hell no. A prime Roy eats him alive.

Well he never lost and had a lot of title fights and that’s a big plus. The quality of his opposition I would categorize as being “ decent.” Probably not great. Given that super middle isn’t that old of a division and often serves as a transient stop for a lot of fighters, he’s probably about as good of a pick as anybody

 

I personally like Joe Calzaghe, the fight with Bernard Hopkins is probably his most controversial and I think some analysis and opinions from the board would be interesting on the topic.

His CV/resume has decent fights, he had bouts as amateur with Dean Francis and Glenn Catley as professional with Chris Eubank , Robin Reid ,David Starie, Omar Sheika, Richie Woodhall, Jeff Lacey, Saiko Bika, Mikkel Kessler, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr.

Overall very good maybe not as exciting as Roy Jones Jr or Canelo Alvarez? Andre Ward got the Olympic gold medal so it depends on what criteria you are judging his CV on?
