Yup, it was a vicious cycle, first Oscar against Floyd, than Pac against Cotto, and against Margacheato, then Cotto against Martinez and Geale, and Floyd taking his "revenge" on DLH by draining Canelo, then Cotto and Khan draining Canelo to 155. It was a vicious cycle of fighters being put at weight disadvantages by bigger stars, then feeling a need to do that against other fighters.

Canelo put an end to that vicious cycle though, by happily agreeing to put himself at weight disadvantges where necessary in order to take tough fights (Floyd, Bivol, GGG, etc) and not being afraid to take a loss but for the betterment of boxing to make fights against fighters not willing to make the weight sacrifices he was.

Yup that's Ben Thompson they also hire only TBE Bias worshippers as that's an requirement in order to join fighthype & at the same time taking other hard working Youtubers video's & claiming as their own,

While they seem to avoid reporting any negative or true news of their favourite fighter's if it represents them in a bad light especially regarding Mayweather, while also inserting his name in every title they can in hopes to sway more of the casual fanbase to their way of thinking.

Draining?? Garcia is a lightweight. The fight needs to happen at 135 or move up and forget about the fighters at 135 and start fighting guys like Ramirez Taylor and prograis who are all at 140.

Could be somewhat true, as i felt Ryan also had his chance at Haney but seemed unconfident & decided on not fighting him a while back if you recall.

What? It's not at all like Bud and Spence fighting at 154 lmao. Bud or Spence have never fought above 147. Tank and Ryan have both fought at 140 before. Tank already won a title at 140.

Tank is a lightweight he has no business at 140 full time. Garcia is a lightweight. It makes no sense for this fight that has been wanted by fans for years to take place in a division that neither fighter campaigns at full time neither fighter is ranked there. 135 is a hot division with more star power and talent than 140.

I don't personally care what weight they fight at. But both fighters have already fought at 140, so if 135 is an issue for either fighter, why would the other guy be afraid of fighting at 140? Also Tank wouldn't have to risk his 135-lb title at 140. I don't know if there's a vacant title available at 140 though, I do think it should be for a title. But if that's the only way to make the fight, at 140, then I don't see why either guy would avoid the fight at 140. The problem is Pimp for Floyd to come out and say it could only be at 135. Like what does he care? WHy would he put a roadblock on to this Super Fight? Now you could say Ryan drew the line in the sand saying he's not fighting at 135 anymore, but if he can't make that weight anymore, then he can't make that weight. Tank's already fought at 140 before, so it shoudn't be a problem, Floyd just doesn't like DLH's golden boy making weight demands on his fighter. It's an ego / control thing to Floyd.

He already challenged himself and was dwarfed in the ring by barrios. The fight needs to happen at 135. Before Ryan fought Fortuna no one here was saying 140 for tank-garcia now all of a sudden you have idiots calling for tank to move up and fight garcia at 140. It won't happen at 140 especially since tank is the A side, the bigger draw, garcia will fight tank at 135 or there will be no fight period.

The fact that this fight was always discussed to be at 135 & now Ryan suddenly want's it at 140 even though knowing that Tank will be the Headliner & that this stipulation will only cause more hurdles towards the fight not being signed is self-explanatory,

Why not fight at 135 first & if you win then the rematch can happen at 140 by your choosing that way all participant's are happy.

    Typical

Truth be told I just want to see the fight
But that is an unnecessary concession
Tank already holds most of the advantages if they were to fight at 140lbs.

why crap on yourself & make him fight at 135lb to handicap him further?

they will fight at 140 or even 147lbs when Tank is on the wrong side of 30.

    like i say…
    typical

Ryan should try his luck with Teofimo
Be great on his own @ 140lb
That will be a decent bargaining chip should he be successful.

that will put himself in the best chance to be successful & surpass Gervontae.
(PPV wise, I’d imagine it would be a win)

    The fight will come eventually
When pbc can no longer rematch Tank with Rolly, Pitbull or Barrios.
