I think Pac's going to come back for a farewell fight. How do y'all see a 44 year old Manny against Tank Davis? Before y'all start crying about the weight, let me remind you that Tank Davis was 146.6 pounds on fight against Gamboa. That's a mere 2-3 pounds lighter than Pac was at welterweight. And they are almost exactly the same size. Would be massive!
This would be awesome actually. I wish it had been done instead of Usyk. Only thing is I don't love Pac facing another puncher.
Don't think Pac wants to come back & he's only doing this 6 Round Exhibition for charity to build homes in Ukraine & his hometown, Plus it's likely that this fight wouldn't be made for a number of reasons as well Boxing Politics, here's a recent interview he speaks on retiring & his Favourite's being Inoue & Ryan: This content is protected
Father time has caught up with Manny. Tank dont deserve to have a win vs Manny on his record. Prime welterweight Manny would humiliate him and stop him.
I clicked Pac before I read the OP and realized he meant a fight today. While prime Manny stops any version of Tank, I think current Tank would UD Manny, who is now well past his best days.
Pac at 44 would still be the fastest, most skilled, and hardest hitting guy Tank has seen. If the fight popped off, Pac has a very good chance of KOing Tank or even outboxing him through his ringcraft.
Who can say, still i see Pacquiao being too old at this stage, Man his legs were gone in that Ugas fight he was punching while is legs were lagging behind him, it was weird watching him fight while being in sink sand, Though it always could have been the over training & re starting camp due to opponent change that did his legs in, he also massaged his legs for over an hour which is a No No in Boxing, As long as he get's a real Strengthen Conditioner instead of that Phony Justin fortune that would be a plus.
Tank struggled a lot with a guy at 140 who lost every round to a contender at 147, Pac is a 5x WW champion. At WW there should be no question here. *Whoops, just read prompt. I have no idea.
I have thought this through several times. I honestly cannot think of anyone that I need to see Pac in a bout with. With time to train properly I think he would acquit himself well, but I would rather have him around in good, coherent shape for a long time, than be one of many who voted in a poll only to end up seeing him badly injured. I also am not fond of the thought of him fighting exhibitions against lesser athletes, wrestling bears., or doing other demeaning promoter-type s**t. He was a tenured, eight division boxing champion who was generally astonishing to watch. He decided to close his career by trying to become the president of his country. No one can say he hasn't been there, done that, and tried to do even more.
