Usyk did not choose Malik Scott. Usyk was just sparring Gerald Washington and Scott trains Washington so he was just there at Usyks camp coaching Washington during the sessions, or at least thats what the article said. .

I never knew Scott worked with Washington. Weird

I'm sure I've seen Scott and Usyk training together before in one of the Usyk dancing videos.

Seems like a perfectly good guy to have in camp.

I imagine your logic is probably - Scott worked with Wilder.. Wilder lost. Hopefully Scott will have a negative impact on Usyk and increase Joshua’s chances of winning.

Malik Scott has no heart. NONE.

Perfect training for Usyk even if it's just playing for 2 rounds.

These kind of articles are cleverly written to dupe readers. Let's look at the first two pars, both of which are factual:

    -----------------------------------

OLEKSANDR USYK is training alongside Deontay Wilder's coach Malik Scott for his rematch against Anthony Joshua.

Scott cornered Wilder in the American's epic trilogy bout against Tyson Fury last October, which ended in defeat.

    -----------------------------------

By the time the target audience have read just 34 words, 'training alongside' morphs into 'trained by' (because of the 'cornered Wilder' reference), and the overall tone is set by the last three words: 'ended in defeat'

Then we get a thread about it...

Recently, Scott lost to 300 pound 50 year old mma fighter Kharitonov in a boxing match.
This is worse than when Silva destroyed Chavez Jr.

Yup i remember him dancing in the video,

But if Scott or Wilder see's the interview where Usyk was asked about Wilder & his response was that Wilder seem's to have lost his mind as I'm paraphrasing, that would make things awkward & could ignite Wilder's anger towards him.

I don't know about that. Kharitonov actually was a legit amateur himself, and probably would have been a better pro than Scott had he decided to go that route.

He did beat Helenius in amateurs. Not sure why he didn't go pro.

Yeah that was horrible corrupt hometown decision, Kharitonov clearly won that. I think he liked the flexibility of being able to bounce back and forth between MMA, amateur boxin and kickboxing, and maybe still had Olympic aspirations in the back of his mind.
