I'll start. DelaHoya -Camacho. The former just took the latter apart. Macho was never in it. It was funny seeing him try to tackle Oscar.
Kalambay-McCallum, Nunn-Kalambay, Benn-Barkley, Toney-Barkley, McClellan-Jackson II, Jones-Toney, Calzaghe-Lacy, and Watson-Eubank II.
Not to derail your thread, it's a good one, but Camacho was an 8-1 underdog and getting all but shutout was no surprise at all. Well some were surprised he actually lasted.
Camacho was way past it by the time he fought Oscar. That fight showed absolutely nothing. (Except, perhaps, that a prime De La Hoya couldn't stop a way past it, drug addled Camacho)
I immediately thought of Sanchez vs Gomez also. Not that Sal wouldn’t have won anyway but there’s no accounting for how much that first round KD put Gomez behind the 8-ball thereafter. And the other surprise to it all was that Gomez was the recognised puncher but in the throes of Wilfredo trying to land big, it was Sal who put him down hard in quick time. Gomez still bravely managed to land some big shots here and there - but who would know given that ridiculous chin Sanchez had. - he ultimately dealt out a savage beat down.
