Some additions: Martin took a dive Molina took a dive Takam was a late sub Bodyguard ref vs Parker 22-by-22 foot ring vs untrained Ruiz in the rematch Pulev was inactive All were at home (barring Ruiz) and AJ always had A-side advantage.
it difficult to discover any good boxer in AJ record under 39 age (Parker only still regard as good because he win with Ruiz & distance with AJ . & Ruiz only still regard as good because AJ was smash up crushed by him first time. Whyte only might be good for close gift win with Parker.... these mediocres)
If you went through every great's resume and began pointing out the losses of all of their best wins, they would look greatly diminished, too.
Well to begin with, someone's chin (especially at 41 years of age) doesn't get better with "conditioning". Your whole post is a bit "if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle". I think people make the mistake of believing the Joshua win was better because it was obviously a far more interesting spectacle for the viewer. I think it's incredibly naïve (a recurring theme of your posts) to suggest that at 41 years old, and after 18 months out, Klitschko wouldn't have deteriorated. You can make the argument that Klitschko wasn't at his best against Fury, but unlike other sports (ie football) we can only judge fighters on one off occasions and you have to judge at face value to an extent.
I respect your point of view, but I stand by what I said. There's no real way to tell how much those 18 months effected Wladmir, because the way he fought against Fury was completely different to the way he fought against Joshua. Wladmir was disciplined, and trained and sparred constantly, and still does now despite retirement. He would have kept himself in shape. There's no evidence you can use to determine that the Wlad Joshua fought deteriorated significantly since he fought Fury because we didn't really see anything from Wlad against Fury. Wlad was totally awe struck and barely threw anything against Fury, so how do we know exactly what level he was at then? It's not just about AJ vs Wlad being a spectacle, it's about Wlad's approach also. Wlad said he would have taken a different approach against Fury the 2nd time, meaning he'd likely have fought how he did vs Joshua against Fury in the 2nd fight. Fury's win is better because he was more dominant, but if we're arguing difficulty of opponent, I see no evidence you can present that there was any real significant difference between the capabilities of Wlad in 2015 vs 2017. Just an assumption. It's not like with Povetkin where in 2018 vs Joshua he looked noticably quicker than he did against Whyte in 2020. TL;DR - Fury's win over wlad is better because of how much he dominated, not because the Wlad he fought was a much better version than Joshua's. The reality is 2017 Wlad would have definitely been in the top 4/5 now.
Don’t be ridiculous just because Fury the greatest heavyweight of this generation toyed with Whyte doesn’t mean AJ beating him wasn’t impressive. That’s like saying Ali’s rematch win over Frazier didn’t matter cause Foreman toyed with him when they fought.
I hate threads like this. You can literally makes anyone’s resume look like garbage if you try hard enough. If AJ beats Usyk, not that I think he will it will be: Usyk was distracted by the war in Ukraine. Usyk was a blown up cruiserweight etc etc
Yes. I think if he had Otto Wallin, a blown up Cruiserweight, and maybe Chisora on there instead of Ruiz, Parker, Pulev, Povetkin etc I'd say it was the best ever.
Joshu has lost 3 of his last 5 bouts Joshu has been exposed His resume has been a myth this whole time
Wladimir Klitschko final 3 fight of career is Jennings April 2015 W12 Fury November 2015 L12 Joshua April 2017 LTKO11 age 41 & out of ring 17 month & has last winning is points decision two years behind him with challenge of ordinary Jennings this is the best win on the AJ record? probable it is if not then might be Parker W12 or TKO7 Povetkin age 39 ? is not looking good to me
The bodybuilders resume is a hoax. 61 year old beltless Klitschko Shot Pulev Got knocked out by butterbeans grandson The biggest hypejob to ever live
While It’s grossly overstated by his supporters, It’s a good resume. Not great, not fraudelent either.
