Are we saying that Gassiev isn't as good a boxer as Chisora because Del Boy did better, in the eyes of some, against Usyk than Gassiev did? Against Witherspoon and Chisora, Usyk knew he'd cruise it and as long as he won and didn't really have to break sweat he'd have nothing to worry about. Against AJ he had the belts to go for and he knew that he was up against better opposition and he put in a stellar performance, just like he did when he was a Cruiser against his two best opponents, Gassiev and Briedis. I'm no AJ fanboy but this notion that he's this complete joke of a boxer that fluked becoming a World Champion is ridiculous, three years ago we had people, and Dave Allen, saying that Dave Allen could beat him, now we're having the same stuff mentioned about Chisora v AJ. Chisora struggled to a dodgy SD against Pulev, who AJ sparked out well over a year ago. Joshua would batter Chisora.

It's worth noting that after all the Allen can beat Joshua hype he got in the ring with David Price and lost every round before leaving in an ambulance. I like the idea that it's heavyweight boxing and one big punch can change everything but someone like Allen isn't landing that big punch against a World champion or former World Champion. He can do it against area level guys like Webb but every time he has stepped up he's never done anything to suggest he'd do it against Joshua. The same goes for Chisora, every version of Chisora, he's never done it and it isn't going to start now.
