Whilst I agree with the rest of your post - that Joshua the commercial icon, the "a-side", etc, will be remembered more than the boxer...

In the interest of balance he did travel to Baku as an amateur and pick up a silver medal, so the Ruiz defeat wasn't quite his first away day.

I’m not sure if I agree with you or not, some punctuation would help me understand a bit better though.

As for AJ was he over hyped? Of course he was? Will him or Eddie Hearn care? Not one bit! I actually think he lost his edge/spite after the Vlad fight. When he got put down badly in that fight I think he thought “I don’t want to be doing this again” and is now a bit too tentative. Will I watch his fight against Usyk? Definitely. Will he win? I don’t think he will. Will he retire if he loses? I think he probably will. Nothing else for him to do.

Agree he lost against Savon in the 1st round and also against Cammerelle in the final in 2012. He did very well at the worlds in Baku a year earlier though.

He had a fantastic amateur career bearing in mind how inexperienced he was.

I do wonder how some people have the time to just constantly post the same crap time after time over and over again.

Thats right that’s why he calls himself the bronze bomber tight enough hes only got a right hand straight not technical I can see how he’s a good pro but not amateur I’m no expert mate

I've seen people saying he developed a particular pro style and went with it, but was a lot less limited as an amateur than he looks now.

Joshua failed to face the two best of his era because Fury took time of due to cocaine, obesity and PEDs charges, and because Wilder ADMITTEDLY turned down truck loads of money to fight Fury, who he thought would be easy.

He fought the best he could get his hands on.
