Most women around Shields' weight category often spar men as there are relatively few women available in the higher weights and anyway men provide better quality sparring. Marshall prefers sparring men- she has often sparred Hughie Fury, a 240 lb heavyweight. One difference between her and Shields is that Sheilds seems to think she is taking their full power, whereas Marshall knows they are usually holding back. In preparation for the upcoming fight, Peter Fury is getting a lot of lighter faster males for Savannah's sparring to mimic Claressa's speed. It's not clear whether they will be wearing literal pillows instead of gloves to mimic Claressa's punching power.
Shields doesn't just "lose" she gets squished. I like the word "squished" and will be using more when talking about boxing and boxers.
Shields didn't collect those gold medals from trees. She is a worker, she travelled around the world and won thropies. Shields will easily outbox Marshall. Marshall should consider it a success if she achieves to land even 1 or 2 shots on Shields' face. There's no way Marshall wins this. In my opinion Shields wins this by unanimous decision, wide. Marshall wins max 2 rounds and that's because I'm being generous. (Shields may have to pull her feet off the pedal around round 7 or 8, after dancing around and raining bombs on Marshall non-stop for 6 rounds, and will continue doing so after those 2 rounds of resting.)
That was when Shields was a 17 year old little kid. It's not the same Shields anymore. It's told that Porter beat Usyk when they were teenagers. So.
Same with Marhsall though. She was much younger too. The reality is Shields isn't hurting marshall, and Marshall is a great boxer, she's just known as a puncher because of her power and KO ratio. Shields has better speed but that's about it. Marshall has size, reach, power advantage.
