Yep Joshua gets way too much respect on this forum. I was blind in the past but i can see it now. He's incredibly overrated.

I was watching him against Pulev earlier and he was very mediocre. Klitschko dispatched a much younger fresher Pulev in awkward but otherwise destructive manner. They were levels apart

I'm still long on Joshua. Even though he speaks like a self help book I believe he has the motivation and desire to be in the history books and be considered as one of the great HW. He probably looks at a guy like Lennox and thinks that its an achievable goal. He has power and decent enough skills. Usyk is just in another level win or lose. A good bigger guy beats a great smaller one, Usyk is an ATG

Only way to salvation for AJ is to clearly beat Usyk. Beat Fury for undisputed and reign for a while.

Uh, right. The only way to redeem his rep is to effectively become the GOAT at HW.
Setting the bar a tad bit high there....

I think AJ is respected by actual boxing fans.
the football (soccer) fans that always jump on the big fights would be much harder to gain respect from. Typically because they don't give a f**k most the time.
Most of his Stadium/PPV buys come from that crowd. not avid boxing fans.

I've been an AJ fan and followed since the Olympics, we cant find from the fact he BLEW it when he was supposed ot impress across the pond. He will have to take that to his grave. Win that fight he is a world superstar amongst all sports fans! Sadly, fell 'short' <-- see what did there

By The Ring and TRBB-the top 2 entities in rankings in boxing.
OTHER THAN THAT I dont care about ranking either but there has to be a line where some matter.
Yes we all know Wilder was matched soft but he was matched within his context soft.
He definetely cant be ranked any lower than Joyce for example who hasnt done much of anything within his context.
Nobody has done much but you have to by context.
He has been there for a while and he must be considered. You youself have him in the top 5 so there you go.

Well it's tough tits I'm afraid. If he wants to be seen as the dominant HW he has a Fury problem he needs to solve.

This proves why A side is just bull**** in competition.

Yes at the time AJ was seen as the best HW in the world because Fury had a breakdown and Wilder was ****, but then Fury came back and AJ got knocked out.

If he wants the respect as the king of this division, he needs to beat Fury and no amount of A side bull will ever change that.

Joshua's power is a MYTH. Who has he stopped who isn't shot to pieces? Charles Martin was it?

But that wasn't your original point. You made Fury and Wilder out to be "the other top dogs" that Joshua hasn't fought, and my point is Wilder has not proven himself that yet.

Wilder has not proven himself Fury/AJ/Usyk level.

Wilder is on the same level as Joyce, Whyte, Ruiz, Povetkin, Parker etc.

Wilder has not proven himself a top dog, and therefore the obligation for AJ to fight him to prove something is non-existent, as he's already fought people with similar achievements as Wilder.

In regards to resume and who he's actually beaten, Wilder is not in the same caliber as AJ, FURY OR USYK.

Even that's debatable as certainly doesn't have record of beating the quality of opposition Whyte l, Povetkin and Parker have done. Neither does he come close to having a win as remotely half as impressive as Ruiz win over AJ to become unified champ.

Shot to pieces old VLADD klitschko without a win in two three years, who came out of retirement on a loss at 41 for a stadium full of money then never fought again. Yeah that VLADD still managed to take prime josh life and death for eleven rounds

You could reframe and say that he only had 1 loss in two three years. His only fight was with Fury and he wasn't the one that pulled on that rematch
Still, Fury couldn't put him out. Joshua can only face the best that is in front of him. I recognize Usyk is a better fighter. Joshua will need to use his physicality to get the W. If he beats Usyk and Fury I think people need to give him his due
