What are some fights that involved 2 well established KO artists that looked like an exciting match up but the fight itself was actually a one sided destruction?

Thomas Hearns vs Pipino Cuevas is the first to come to mind.

Hearns v Cuevas, Zarate v Zamora and Gomez v Zarate are probably the best non-heavyweight examples.

I think calling Holmes (v Cooney) a power puncher is stretching it a bit.

I think a lot of these examples are one power puncher v another fighter rather than two bonafide power punchers.

Very likely youre right on Norton. He was not a real puncher but people expected slugfests by all these fights and both fighters of course.

David Haye v Enzo Maccarinelli figured to end in a KO with both cruiserweights having plenty of pop and neither known for their durability but it turned out to be a mismatch.

Quarry was not a big puncher.

    Hearns-Duran
Robinson-Graziano, Rocky got a a quick knockdown but that was it.
    McClellan-Jackson
Foreman-Cooney, though Gerry did get in a big left on George.
    Tyson-Stewart
    Tyson-Bruno 1 and 2
    Louis-Max Baer
