The pizza price comparison seems to be outdated now with the increase in PPV costs. What will it be now? "It's the cost of a Chinese with Crispy Duck as a starter" ?

Still less than getting an Uber Eats from my local Michellin recommended restaraunt.

That doesn’t make sense to put on that mate it is chance for women to get on their own show n test for broadcaster to see if it works it could help boom women a boxing or show that no folk want it

Women getting their own show at the moment wont necessarily benefit them

The reality is if they're on this undercard they're likely to get -

    - More exposure - Bigger stage
    - More money (This fight probably wont be even PPV)

They'd benefit a lot more on their own. But I suppose I understand your point about it being a test run to decide if anyone gives a crap.

Wasn’t Katie Taylor’s last fight in New York a headline one?

Dominos is £20 for a large (which’s aren’t even large) now. The big tubs of dip are pushing £2 after being a pound haha. Everything is a rip off these days. Can’t get a drink of juice in a cheap shop for less than £1.20, I heard there’s a perfect storm brewing for £10 pints in certain places in the very near future. They think we’re thick and we don’t know they’re all adding far more than they need to to everything to make even more. It took until this investigation for the fuel prices to drop despite the 5p tax relief coming in ages ago none of them were giving us the discount. Greed, greed, greed £9 billion profits Shell announced this quarter today. That’s almost as much as was in Hearn’s ISA for when he turned 18!

What's your point, that things exist and we can't have an opinion on them?

For me, there's no long term outlook for boxing, just the fast cash grab. The casual audience, the "Sweet Caroline" is fine, but where's the appetite to build for future champions? Boxing is a more niche sport than ever, because it's effectively unavailable to the masses, unlike the halcyon days of Dickie Davies et al.

I appreciate it's a different time, to the readily available viewings I saw as a kid (Ali, SRL etc etc), and I'd never begrudge a pro fighter his purse, but I wonder if there's any real appetite for long term growth?

No you're right, I hate that song as well, what I meant was, it's fine in that casual fans turn up, buy a ticket, and the fighters get paid, that was the context I was going for!

The sport is doing fine. There are still tons of small hall events attracting plenty of spectators watching up and coming hungry fighters. It goes in cycles, we got to enjoy the golden age of British boxing not that long ago.
